We visited Galeries Lafayette as a family and were pleasantly surprised by how much we all enjoyed learning about its history. The architecture is absolutely stunning, and the tour gave great insight into how this iconic place helped shape shopping culture in Paris. It was fascinating for the adults and visually exciting for the kids too. A lovely mix of culture, fashion, and history—definitely worth a visit if you're in Paris with family.
The place itself is stunningly beautiful but when you get to learn all the interesting facts about it, from very kind and knowledgable guide, you get even more of it! I fullheartedly recomend the tour.
This was a very interesting visit about not only the department store, but the connection with ecclesiastical architecture, Gothic art, history of shopping and consumerism. The view from the top of the building alone is worth the visit. Highly recommended.
