The visit well until we arrived at the Sistine Chapel, the guide Estefanía did not let us see the chapel even 5 minutes, we passed quickly to the bottom and there we were for a minute. If we pay for a tour of the Vatican museums and quick admission to St. Peter's Basilica, we want to see the Sistine chapel for at least 5 minutes. When we complained to the guide that we had not stopped to see the chapel and in other parts of the tour we would have had plenty of explanation then instead of apologizing for not calculating well it got very edged and went from our recommendations.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, particularly regarding the time spent in the Sistine Chapel. We completely understand how important this part of the tour is, and not having enough time there can be very disappointing. Due to crowd control regulations and strict schedules imposed by the Vatican, guides are sometimes required to move groups along more quickly than planned. That said, it is clear from your comments that the timing could have been managed better, and we are especially concerned to hear about the way your concerns were handled. Please accept our sincere apologies for this. Your feedback has been shared with our team and the guide involved, as we take these matters very seriously and are always working to improve both our organization and customer service. We truly appreciate your comments and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future. Kind regards
I am very disappointed with such a scam! Indeed my grandfather prepared us a visit that was supposed to be in French and privatized for our group of 8 by paying the sum of 900 €. Result: there were 18 of us, the tour was in English , the material (earphones to hear the Guide into his microphone) was not of good quality. Moreover, there is no interaction with the Guide who rushes to recover his salary as quickly as possible following such a scam. So I Trip Tip you to go your way and get a simple Audio Guide for less than 5€ that will do the trick.
We are investigating this issue. Thank you for your review.
Very nice guidance and explanation of the main paintings and sculptures within the museum. Highly recommend it!
If you're reading this review then please don't buy a tour from these people, and if are already at their office to buy a ticket then you are infront of a scam. People (scammers) come to you saying that you need not wait in the line and you pay around 62 euro and get a tour for Vatican museums, Chapel and basilica. And they will assist you through how to get through everything. And they also have sub scammers which they will bring in after you buy the ticket saying you have to buy a scarf to cover your knees which ofcourse they force you to buy...which was later infact given at basilica for free. Leaving that aside the tour which was mentioned to be 2 and half hours shortened to be 40 mins ending in the Vatican museum itself way before sistine Chapel. And the guide gives you vague details of how to go and get to other things. Which you have to figure out in your own. Felt I was cheated on after the guide left. Please keep your money safe and better book other tours which offer good experience. Now reading all the reviews in here, I see the audacity in their replies given back.
We jumped out of the taxi & were approached by a ‘tout’ and we immediately thought dodgey. We couldn’t have been more wrong. We paid €59 each for a professional and informed tour . The local gentleman, a theological was so invested in his work and of course in his historical knowledge his insight was incredible. Well worth the tour cost & we’d recommend spending the money. It was rammed. Toilets weren’t around each & every corner- be aware. It’s incredible however. We saw the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, the grounds & gardens & St. Peter Basilica. The beauty is just breathtaking & beyond words. I don’t have a faith of my own but that was matterless. Highly recommended. When in Rome…
Thanks a lot and we appreciate your comments.
I’d seen these packages before I set off but was sceptical with the “skip the queues”. We arrived at Vatican and saw massive queue so tried to go round to the museum instead hoping for smaller but this wasn’t much better. A lady there who was obviously a tour separating people into queues and said we would be waiting about two hours (looking at queue it would not have been far wrong) so she mentioned what she could do for us and the price and we followed her back to the tour shop. We paid the 118 euro and was in a group which started around 30 people - I believe our guide was called leonardo. We was then took to the Vatican museum where they arranged the tickets and took us through with the headsets, a nice and relaxed tour - you can’t possibly see everything so that’s understandable, we finished off going into the Sistine chapel. After this he said that tour groups can get entry straight into the main Vatican if we followed which we did and then we were past the security checkpoints instantly ready. We are off to the colosseum tomorrow and considering paying for the tour again as it helps with the knowledge rather than walking aimlessly and also saves you time which on short city breaks time is prescious
Thanks a lot for your positive review. Vatican Hill Tours appreciate your review. We try our level best to increase our service and another lion thanks for choosing us.
