We booked a half-day tour with guide of the Pyramids and Sphinx for 8th December. We payed US$40. The evening before our visit I received a Whatsapp message from our guide, Mayada. We confirmed pick up time and place which we later had to amend but Mayada was very accommodating. She and her driver met us outside the hotel and after friendly introductions we set off to the Giza Pyramid site which was about 10 minutes drive away. Mayada checked out what we already did/didn't know about the Pyramids and began to fill in the history for us in a very informative and friendly way. As we had to buy entrance tickets she helped us do this. She checked constantly what we most wanted to see and do and importantly what we didn't want to see and do! The whole time she gave interesting facts and insights. We found Mayada to be the perfect guide and would highly recommend doing a tour with her - she was knowledgeable, funny, friendly and entertaing! We would not recommend not having a guide if this is your first visit as you will miss out on so much. Thankyou Mayada!
We had a very good day of discovery in Cairo. The team was very flexible and agreed to stagger the departure time at the last minute to arrange us due to transport problems. Ahmed, our guide, was very friendly, dynamic and very accommodating, adapting the program whenever we wanted. He constantly guided, advised and protected us to avoid any problems on the way. He was also a great photographer for our teenage team! Thank you very much to him: he made our unique day in Cairo unforgettable.
