Description

This program is guided by the 19th‑generation head of the Musashi Clan, the only remaining clan that served the Tokugawa Shogunate for 265 years. This direct lineage offers guests an exceptionally rare opportunity to learn from a tradition that has been preserved and transmitted continuously since the Edo period. As a licensed interpreter, the clan head provides real‑time interpretation and expert cultural explanations, ensuring that international guests can fully understand the meaning, symbolism, and historical context behind each practice. This cultural experience reveals the authentic cultural heritage of samurai and ninja through traditional attire, etiquette, historical tools, and philosophical teachings. Guests gain insights normally shared only within long‑standing samurai lineages. The program can also be customized for groups, schools, and corporate teams, with the option for our instructors and interpreter to deliver on‑site cultural training at your location.

My ninja dojo visit

Very interesting class, I will be honest they did such a good job teaching that I wanted to learn more past the 90 minutes that was paid for.

Operator response

Raffael-san. Thank you so much for your comment. You are an ideal student. You are very quiet and learn everything very quickly and exactly. If you have a chance to return to Japan, hope to see you, again. All the best.

Amazing Ninja Experience

I visited this dojo with my class for a school trip and it was amazing! The ninjas demonstrated their moves and how to use katanas (Japanese swords). After the demonstration, one of the ninjas sat down and showed us all of the weapons they use and explained their purposes. It was very interesting to learn about the history of ninjas and the history of this specific ninja clan. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing, authentic Ninja experience

My wife, daughter and I recently did the first level Ninja experience with Vanessa and her son. They run the Ninja dojo and provide the experiences. We had all come to Japan eager to learn about many aspects of Japanese culture with Ninja a particular point of interest. We thought that the typical Ninja experiences would be showy, touristy exhibitions with zealous but unreal Ninja depictions. That wasn't the case with this tour. What we did experience was a fascinating and authentic immersion into the way of the Ninja and how it fits into Japanese culture and history. Vanessa and her family have been involved in Ninja for over 200 years. I won't reveal too many spoilers but the exhibition included: - Mindset and meditation for ninja - Ninja movement - Ninja tools and weapons - Broader history We left feeling really honoured to have shared this experience and also felt that we had received a far more genuine experience of Ninja than many others on offer. We rated the Ninja school as an absolute highlight of our trip to Japan. Some points to be aware of. The school's location is difficult to find. It is in the fourth floor of a building that doesn't have great signage to the dojo. Be sure to get good directions and be aware of where you must go to meet people to get into the school. Also, this might be a little serious for really young kids (say <7) who might want to only sneak around and throw throwing-stars. Otherwise, I couldn't recommend it more highly.
