Tasty Trastevere Street Food Tour in Rome from Tiberine Island to Ponte Sisto

Description
Trastevere is one of the most beloved areas of the city! This 2.5 hours street food and walking tour starts from Tiberine Island. This neighborhood which is a labyrinth made of tiny streets, small shops, and any kind of eateries - whose name means "across the Tiber" - hides a lot of historical spots too: among them, Piazza Trilussa, dedicated to a famous Roman poet, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, probably the first Christian church in Rome, and a lot more. Local food is without doubt the leitmotiv of the tour itself, as Trastevere is full of both typical Roman takeaways and restaurants.

Terrific combination of history and food, but not too much history. There were four of us on this tour (2 adults and 2 teenagers) and we all had plenty to eat and enjoyed our small group. Our tour guide, Kristian, was friendly, knowledgeable and did a terrific job.
It was wonderful and I enjoyed getting to learn the history of the area as well. The food was delicious and well planned.
Very good tour, informative, casual and delicious! Karen our guide was relaxed and friendly and didn’t rush us.
I had a one day Rome experience and it was super My goal was to check out the Jewish Ghetto . i took a Rome on your own day trip from the ambassador cruise line. If you Realize you cannot see everything then you will have a fulfilling day our tour guide left us at the peoples square. it is a great place to begin your walk. I used the Visit a City app and it offered clear walking directions. Although it was quite a hike iPassed by many ancient ruin sites and also some art galleries. if I would have had more time I would have stopped and entered them. there was a Mucha and Hocksai show at one gallery that was on my list and an impressionist museum that tempted me too but the old synagogue was my priority that day. Unfortunately it was Purim and the synagogue was closed, but the whole area including a ton of restaurants were buzzing with people. the Turtle fountain done by Bernini was lovely. there were brass markers on some building acknowledging some of the people lost during the Nazi occupation and there was a museum that delved into the history of this once vibrant community. on my way back to the peoples square I stopped for a delicious gelato. long day but very special.
Great area for authentic food. Tiziano ,our guide was wonderful. Due to a couple of cancellations the four of us were the only participants. Perfect!
We had a great tour with Roberta! She was very informative, explaining about the history and traditions of the city. The food she shared with us was delicious, and there were some surprises along the way.
I was so happy that this tour was in the Trastevere area of Rome and our guide Kristian took us to all the right places allowing us to indulge in some of Rome's finest cuisines. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. What a great morning, a history lesson and great food. Excellent tour! Thanks very much.
This was a brilliant tour with amazing food and really interesting history. Our guide Mattias was very knowledgeable and really looked after us. Try the pine tree gelato if you dare!
Marco did a great job with the tour. Luckily we had planned to be there early because I had Ubered us to the wrong location; but we made it there right on time! Another group did something similar, we started the tour and the other group joined us after the first tasting. They were so grateful to him as well. We saw and tasted so much of Italy, that we wouldn't have known without this tour. The pizza was good but interesting toppings.
We really enjoyed the tasting tour!! Lots of fun food and our guide Marco was great!! Highly recommended if you want to see Trastevere!
