Shuttle never picked us up. Canceled the day before. Had to search around for a transfer to airport. Very unprofessional
We are sorry that you were disappointed with the experience. However, we would like to clarify that the shuttle service did not operate due to the minimum number of participants not being reached. We informed you both via WhatsApp and email the day before the service, and we also offered an alternative solution to help avoid inconvenience. We kindly believe it would be fair to mention this information as well in the review, as the shuttle was not simply a “no show” without communication.
Easy and fast. The trip took about 45 to fifty mins . No fuss at all. The driver was as waiting w our names exactly where she had said

Viator confirmed activity, charged credit card, then emailed message activity was canceled due to lack of people. Then offered alternate activity with additional cost. They should have honored the initial contract or not confirm it

Confirming a booking always means accepting the conditions outlined, and in this case everything was handled exactly as communicated. I had booked and paid for a shared ride from the cruise port to the airport. The night before my booking I was informed that a shared ride was not available and I would have to pay 100 Euros more. I had no choice but to pay it or miss my flight.
The driver arrived early, & came looking for us in the crowd of passengers. The driver was support nice & extremely professional.

Our ship was scheduled to depart at 6:30 AM, and our driver arrived at 6:45 AM, holding a sign with our names, which made him easy to find. He was very friendly and kind. This was our first time using the Viator service, and I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it for great service!

Great experience with this transfer. Mannuel was in good communication and was patiently waiting for us when we disembarked. We were able to get off the ship a little early and he was very flexible as well.

We were left stranded at the port without a way to get to the airport. This is a port to airport transfer. I scheduled for 7:00 which was the earliest the boat could be cleared. The morning of the disembarkation I talked to the driver and let them know they were estimating anywhere between 7-7:15 to clear the boat. The boat was cleared at 7:15 and we were the third and fourth people off the boat. When I got down to the pickup area we were looking around for our driver and could not find him anywhere. I went to call him and found he left us at 7:19. There was not a single person off the boat and at the pickup point at 7:19. He left my family stranded. I tried chatting and calling him directly to get him to come back but he did not answer. The full story is that the company had overbooked him because he started chatting me at 6:18 am to see if I could get off early. That is not how it works at a cruise port. This was the most stressful and completely unnecessary situation he put us in. We had a morning flight out of Rome and were forced to get a taxi with 8 people in it for 75 euros a piece on top of what was paid to this transfer company. There is no mystery that passengers have to wait for clearance of the boat. He did not call me back or indicate prior that he was not going to stay. This was a complete scam. Viator also did not help one bit. They simply don’t help with getting refunds. I won’t use Viator ever again.
We are sorry to read this review as it is misleading. The pickup time requested was for 7AM and the driver waited for a bit but when no one showed up he had to go away. We did not overbook the driver but we have a schedule we must respect for pickups.
Clean and great services. He was also on time. Would definitely use them again. Used them from the cruise port to the airport.

The driver was about 15 minutes late, although he did send a message letting us know he would be a little late. Vehicle was large and clean and we felt very comfortable with our driver.
My experience with using Viator for transfers in Rome was terrible. My first transfer cancelled the night before leaving us scrambling to get to the port and this one resulted in us scrambling to find a taxi. I called multiple times to confirm pick up time and no one answered the numbers provided. I then sent a message through my booking and got s confirmation for 9 am pick up (we had to be off the ship at 9). Get off the ship and no transportation. Once again, did not answer my call but through the booking I messaged to find out what was going on and got a message from a different person pick up at 11. At that point we were off the ship with our luggage in the hot sun curb side so we looked for a taxi. When I called customer care after I returned home, I was told that since they sent a message that morning saying pick up was at 11, I would not get a refund. This added unnecessary stress to trying to get to the airport.
Driver was on time, fellow guests pleasant and prompt. Excellent service. Very satisfied with the service.
