ROYAL VIP DESERT SAFARI , VIP Lounge Bbq Dinner All Inclusive

Having done a similar safari tour 3 years ago with a different company, I had a high level of expectation. Unfortunately, we were let down from the very onset when the four wheel drive came to pick us up from our hotel. It was a very old van (I think it had done around 400 km) with 3 adult passengers. We hopped in (so 8 adults in an old land cruiser. We hopped in thinking that we are going to a central office where we will be seated in a new Land cruiser (as advertised) and we will be in our group as it was a private tour/activity and the advertisement highlighted that "only your group will participate. We paid extra for the Royal VIP service. We drove for nearly 45 minutes and finally came to a Quad Biking and Sand boarding area where we waited for an hour for other passengers to finish their rides and join us in the LC again. We were then told that the car will not be changed and that the 8 people in the LC will remain the same. The last three seats are primarily for children or small people. Two of our group members are claustrophobic and already ill. At this point we protested and requested that we be taken back with a full refund. It It was refused. As a compromise, we were allocated front and middle seats , much to the annoyance with other 3 passengers. This leg of the journey took another 20 to 30 minutes and we finally arrived at the desert dunes where another (newer) LC was waiting for us. Upon arrival, one of the other passengers quickly jumped and sat in the front of the car which upset the two who were Claustrophobic and their respective wives. There was a stand off for about 15 minutes . Upon learning that the dune safari was only for approximately 10 minutes, we offered to stay back and wait for the other 3 guest to do their rides first and we will follow later. This was refused. After a long standoff in the middle of the desert the other three passengers agreed to sit at the back. During the dune ride, we heard the heads of the back passengers hitting the roof few times. Luckily the dune ride was for only around 10 minutes and it was over very quickly. The passengers at the back were physically exhausted and had to sit down for a while to recover.. The key faults were as follows: The car that picked us up was very old and not new as advertised The LC had 8 adults confined to a very small space. Stop at Quad Biking & Sand boarding was not mentioned No drinks were offered" on boarding Food & service was poor It was'nt a private tour

We were six of us, picked up at our hotel and drove to a glorious red sandy desert where our driver John treated us to the wilderness of some of the sand dunes. We went in the Desert Safari on a Hummer and I can't explain my excellent experience in words. It's been awesome!!! Everyone must experience it... A pleasure for all. The safari drivers and guides by CliftonTours were professional and expert in their jobs. Much Much Fun! On reaching the campground, they invited us to hold a falcon, go on a camel safari and have a sunset in the desert with quad biking. For entertainment with VIP Seating there was a great dinner, shisha, accompanied with live night shows of Belly Dance and Tanoura Dance. Do not miss this experience when in Dubai!
