Trajan's Market is a large complex of ruins in the city. Thought to be the world's oldest shopping mall, the arcades in Trajan's Market are now believed by many to be administrative offices for Emperor Trajan.
Piazza Venezia is one of the most famous squares in Rome. This large square is home to a number of historic buildings, including the famous Victor Emmanuel II Monument and Palazzo Venezia.
The Jewish ghetto of Rome is a little hidden jewel between the Tiber and Piazza Venezia. It is also one of the less-known attractions of the city. the Jewish community in Rom is the oldest one in Europe and over the years the area has grown into a beautiful neighborhood filled with restaurants, churches, and synagogues that combine Jewish culture with grandeur of Roman architecture
This square is famous for its vibrant street market, where you can explore the many stalls and pick up some souvenirs.
Piazza Navona is an exquisite baroque square in Rome. Its origins can be traced back to the ancient roman times, when the area hosted a stadium. Notable landmarks are the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers) by Bernini and the Church of Santa Agnese in Agone.
The Pantheon is one of the best preserved monuments of the ancient Rome, as well as one of the greatest examples of the incredible ingenuity of the Roman Civilization. Originally a temple dedicated to all the gods, hence its name, it was converted into a church already in the 7th century. Rome walking tour: Churches, Squares and Fountains Tripmasters - Thursday, March 7, 2024 Brian was awesome! He was calm & patient as we made our stops thru the tour. We was extremely knowledgeable & answered our questions with ease. Brian went above & beyond to make us feel special. I would highly recommend Brian and this tour. A MUST!!! A+
Brian did an excellent job, explaining the history and significance of the different plazas, monuments and sites we covered during the tou, as well as allowing good private time to explore some of the venues by ourselves.
Brian was a PHENOMENAL guide! He made our experience so wonderful and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour for a good overview of Rome churches, squares, and fountains. Brian would make sure to stop in shaded areas during the tour (it was a very hot day), he was very friendly, and informative/knowledgeable about the places we stopped at. For the price, I would definitely recommend!
Brian was great and very knowledgeable. Enjoyed it. It was a hot Rome day so he tried to place us in as much shade as possible.
The trip was well worth it. Our city guide, Brian, was a wealth of knowledge, which was awesome 👌 we navigated the city with ease, despite the fact that the city was crowded. I highly recommend this tour.
Our guide was amazing !! Brian was so knowledgeable of the city , the history and accommodating with questions and insight. We were very lucky to have him . It was as if we had our own history professor ! He did the tour at the perfect pace and all the key sites.
Brian was an awesome tour guide. It was an informative tour, of which Brian was more than capable of answering any questions we through at him. Would recommend anyone who wants to learn a bit more about the history surrounding what they are looking at to do this tour with Brian.
Really fantastic introduction to Rome. It’s impossible to see EVERYTHING on tours like this, but fingers crossed you’ll have Brian - very friendly and extremely knowledgable guide. He’ll tell you facts, but in a very natural “I love my job” kind of way, knows his stuff. He’s funny too!
I was really lucky to get Bryan as a guide! We were only 3 in a group, so we really had a chance to get maximum from this tour! Bryan is very professional, passionate about his job, was answering absolutely all questions. Being not Italian, he really showed authentic and genuine passion to the history of the country in general and Rome in particular. Highly highly recommended! Bravo! He madee fall in love with Rome.
