Rome’s Bone Chapel and Catacombs: Skulls, Crypts and City Ride

A+ the cappuccini museum and crypt was amazing

I recently took the Rome’s Bone Chapel and Catacombs: Skulls, Crypts and City Ride tour, and it was easily one of the highlights of my trip! If you are looking for something a bit deeper and more atmospheric than the standard Colosseum tour, this is it. The Highlights: Seamless Logistics: The tour includes a bus ride, which was a huge relief. The staff were incredibly helpful, clearly explaining exactly where to go and how to navigate each site, making the whole experience stress-free. Intimate Atmosphere: I was pleasantly surprised that the crypt tour felt personal. The group size was small, and the sites weren't overly crowded, which allowed us to actually take in the exhibits and appreciate the eerie beauty of the bone chapels. Fascinating Exhibits: The history is incredible. Seeing the intricate displays of skulls and bones in the Capuchin Crypt is something you truly have to see in person to understand. Overall, it was a well-organized and deeply interesting way to spend a few hours in Rome. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see a different side of the city's history!

This was a good experience for those good with managing your experiences and expectations. Must haves - skip the lines pass , hours the bone crypt is open and a full, full day to jump on and off the bus. Not a good trip for people on a schedule. Need time to eat and walk around and not worried about getting back to your cruise ship.

The good organization, the bus ride with Alejandro was very entertaining and pleasant and the guided tour of Calixto catacomb very interesting

Overall very interesting, although not guided in its entirety and missing information. The bus section is not fluid. In my case I had to wait 30 minutes (it should be 10) and I almost did not reach the catacombs of the Capuchins.

Very suggestive and fascinating visit in the heart of Rome that I absolutely recommend!

Visiting the Capuchin Crypt was a truly unique and thought-provoking experience. The site is well organized and incredibly fascinating, offering a deep insight into history and symbolism. A special mention goes to the Touristation staff, who were extremely helpful and professional. Everything was well managed from start to finish. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something different and meaningful in Rome!

It was a wonderful tour, we really enjoyed it all. First we were taken on a catacomb tour, and then they took us to Cryptus Cappuccini. Everything was super organized, we felt it was going right. Advise everyone 😊

Unfortunately our transfer between the catacombs and the crypt was unable to make it so we had to make our own way to the crypt, but the operator gifted us another excursion for the inconvenience. The catacombs were so interesting. It's VERY cold underground so definitely wrap up if you go. The tour guide was not as engaging as we've experienced with other trips in Rome, but she got the information across. We sat in a room for 20 mins before setting off for the excursion watching an AI video on historical Rome which was a little unrelated, and the transfer driver to the catacombs didn't give us a time to return, so we ended up sitting on the transport for a long time waiting for others when we could have grabbed a warm coffee and spent a little more time wandering about. Overall the experience was good but could have been much better organised. The crypt was so cool, seeing all the bones in each section and learning all about the history.
