Monti is one of Rome’s trendiest neighbourhoods but back in the day it was known as a suburra of the city, a red light district rife with drugs, gambling, and sex work galore. This is where your guide will lead you to some of the best bars in the city and tell you fascinating stories you won’t hear on your average walking tour.
There are few sights more beautiful than Rome at night, and we’ll walk down this incredible road that divides the Ancient City while admiring the emperor's forums on either side.
Towards the end of the tour we’ll pass by Rome’s biggest and most hated building, built to commemorate the unification of Italy in the 1870s.
