We’ll cross the Tiber River and dive into the beautiful Via Giulia, a stunning street designed by the great Michelangelo in the 1500s
Our first stop is the Pantheon, the only monument in the Eternal City that has preserved its ancient splendor. We’ll take a few moments to admire this architectural marvel while I share its fascinating history and intriguing curiosities—truly a Roman gem!
Next up is Piazza Navona, an architectural masterpiece crafted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. As we stroll down Via dell’Anima, surrounded by 15th-century palaces and charming courtyards, we’ll make our way to Piazza Venezia.
In Piazza Venezia, we’ll get a close-up view of the national monument dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II. From there, we’ll ascend the Quirinal Hill, passing the beautiful Trajan’s Column and the impressive residence of the Italian president. Finally, we arrive at the iconic Trevi Fountain.
Stop at the Trevi Fountain! Here, your guide will share captivating stories and curiosities. Don’t forget to toss your coin into the fountain, surrendering to the dolce vita and the enchanting sound of sparkling water gushing from Rome's queen of fountains.
From our vantage point overlooking this symbol of Rome, I’ll share unforgettable tales about the gladiators, the architectural marvel commissioned by Emperor Vespasian, and a glimpse into the past with our books featuring photos of both its present and former glory. We’ll be attentive to your questions, and you’ll have plenty of time to take pictures and videos.
Next we head to The Theatre of Marcellus which is an ancient open-air theater in Rome, commissioned by Julius Caesar and completed by Emperor Augustus in 13 BC. Named after Augustus' nephew and heir, Marcellus, it was the largest theater of its time, capable of seating around 20,000 spectators.
On the way back, we’ll pass by the ancient Circus Maximus, the legendary realm of chariot races. Enjoy views of the Imperial Palace and Tiber Island, which features the only Roman bridge still standing, the Fabricius Bridge. Then, we’ll dive into the streets of Trastevere, exploring the charming palaces dating back to the 1200s.

We are SO glad we took this sidecar tour, it was our highlight of Rome! We were able to see many places that we wouldn’t have otherwise, or by foot, and got a wonderful feel of the different parts of the city! The tour was packed with history and information and Pietro and Claudio drove safely. This will be a core memory for our teenagers, and family! There were 7 women. We were with Peitra for about 2 1/2 hours. He was very knowledgeable about all of the historical sights we saw. He offered his opinion about a couple different restaurants.
