We'll explore the bustling but often overlooked Trastevere neighborhood of Rome, where excellent food, music, and warm people come together to bring this part of town to life. We'll ride along the banks of the river, stopping for a glass (or two!) of wine as we watch the sun slowly set. Nice bikes, crowded streets but beautiful sites to see! The temperatures were cooler and streets less crowded than midday.
A very pleasant experience at the end of the day, less hot, evening light, charming, cheerful, and attentive guide.
Fully recommended. It is a didactic and fast way to see the most important points of the city. Mattias is a magnificent guide telling the story in a fun and interesting way.
This was our 2nd Fat Tire bike trip in Rome. Mary took us places we hadn’t been on the afternoon ride. Riding up the street facing the Spanish Steps all lit up was special. At times the ride can be exciting with all of the traffic but with Mary in our ears (we had headsets) I always felt safe. For planning purposes assume that you’ll be on the tour for at least 3 hours.
We had an amazing experience. The tour guide Danielle was so much fun, very accommodating and knowledgeable. It was the best part of the day: cool and breezy. We saw illuminated Rome. It looked magical !
Our Tour Guide Marika was awesome. She showed us so much of her beautiful city and gave us just enough info to keep us interested, without dragging it out. I would recommend this for families, especially teens.
Matthias did a great job! Definitely recommend, very insightful tour. Having been to Rome several times, this tour hit some off the beaten path of history I had not known.
We just got to Rome and this was a nice way to get to know the city. Our tour guide was nice and great information and history of the city.
We scheduled the night bike tour for our first night in Rome! Matt was super informative and really helped us get our bearings of the city. He gave us many helpful tips for our trip!
Having done a fat tire tour in Paris a few years back, I knew we needed to do this with our large group! None of us were hugely experienced riders, but Lori made this so much fun, and it wound up being the highlight of our trip! You see so much more from a bicycle, and there’s something freeing about being able to experience any European city, like the locals do. Our bikes were sturdy. We even had rain gear for a small downpour, Laurie was helpful amazing and none of us will ever forget this! Thank you fat tire tours for delivering again!
