Pyramids of Giza & Saqqara complex

I truly had an incredible several day adventure around Cairo experiencing some of the iconic landmarks of Egypt. Our guide, Sam, was fun, charismatic, and full of knowledge of this beautiful city and country and its vast history. He offers a unique perspective as a local and a masterful storyteller to share a rich history and culture.

It was my first time travelling with an organised group, and our tour guide, Sam, exceeded all of our expectations! He is very knowledgeable, entertaining, well mannered, and has great energy, so he really made our holidays special! I whole heartedly recommend Sam as a tour guide, and overall the trip to Egypt was an amazing experience, I definitely recommend it!

Sam‘s contact info was passed down from a friend. And I am so glad that she did. I have not passed it along to another friend that is interested in visiting Cairo. It was very easy to collaborate with Sam on my 3 days in Cairo. He asked what I wanted to do (Pyramids/Nile/Museum/Cooking/Churc/Shopping) and had it all together along with a driver. Everything was easy—from pickup at the airport through drop off. I think the highlight for me was visiting a family for lunch in Saqqara. I got a true sense of Egyptian warmth and hospitality (and very good food). It was such a unique experience. Sam is also very easy to talk and ask questions. I have had other guides that just want to go with their info and plan and not interesting in my own curiosity once I am on the tour. When (and not if) I go back to Egypt with family, I will be first reaching out to Sam to put together another (longer) itinerary that goes beyond Cairo.

We’ve just returned from a much-anticipated trip to Egypt which covered Cairo in the north through to Abu Simbel in the south; a holiday that took 12 packed days. Our tour guide Sam & his team were more than excellent in ensuring to all our needs and Sam especially provided outstanding information on all things related to Egypt. He is extremely passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Egypt and we would highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Egypt. The outstanding and caring service provided by Sam is most appreciated as our contingent of 22 travellers came from different backgrounds and states within Australia and New Zealand.

Sam is the best tour guide hands down! We had a large group and he took amazing care of us. He was patient as we took tons of photos and made sure to give us a vip experience we will never forget! He was kind and so knowledgeable he answered all of our questions and made sure we were treated well at every place we went. He is also a very experienced reiki healer which was a wonderful experience with memories I will carry for a lifetime. In my many years of traveling I have been on many guided tours but Sam’s was the best by far! Other guides we used in Egypt took us to over priced shops and didn’t listen to the group when we wanted extra time to do photos etc but Sam was so honest and made sure to give us the perfect experience while ensuring we paid fair prices at shops and cafes I highly recommend using him if you are in Egypt! We booked a last minute tour with Aziza after another guide had to cancel, and we are so lucky we did! She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She had very interesting facts to share about each of the sites, and gave the perfect amount of info without it being too much for one day. She made great recommendations for which pyramids it was worth it to pay extra to enter (and which not to bother with), and even added a stop at the papyrus museum when we mentioned we were interested in how it was made. We would highly recommend her as a guide!

Going to Egypt is a chance of a lifetime. If you want to get the most out of your experience, I highly recommend that you allow Egyptologist Sam to show you ancient Egypt through his eyes. Sam has an incredible knowledge of the thousands of years of layered history that most people would miss without a skilled guide. Rather than being dry or overwhelming, Sam conveys information through storytelling and experiential learning. Utilizing every moment, he gives the historical context prior to arriving to a site and then he walks you through the location pointing out fascinating details, reading and interpreting hieroglyphs, and answering questions along the way. Sam is peaceful and kind. I was in a group of 30 that had a wide range of age and physical ability. Sam was mindful of the needs of each person in the group. Those who needed a slower pace were able to enjoy their experience, and those of us who were eager to keep moving and learn as much as we could were filled with a plethora of knowledge that I will be unpacking for weeks to come. Sam is also a photographer and was willing to capture beautiful pictures for us along the way. Sam’s passion and enthusiasm for Egypt’s ancient history will elevate your trip to the next level.
