Dating from the 11th century, Aït Benhaddou is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was an important part of the ancient trade route over the High Atlas between Marrakech, Ouarzazate, and the Sahara. Near the top of the Tizi-n-Tichka pass at 2260m there are great panoramic views over the mountains as well as the snaking N9 road. This location dubbed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in the province of Ouarzazate, has been used as a back drop for several films and is a worthwhile stop for photo enthusiasts. Farther along is the Kasbah of Tawrirt. It absolutely gives a background on past movies produced in the area.

Itinerary
Please be in the lobby at 7:00am. Your driver should be there ready for you. There you are to take the tour with us. Passing through the length of the Atlas Mountains on the winding and bumpy Tishka Pass, stops are to be made so you can take photos at scenic locations. Afterwards, you are to be taken to the postcard-perfect village of Ait Benhaddou. You should be there around 12:00 pm.
Upon arrival, you are to be introduced to your local tour guide. Have lunch in a restaurant of your choice. (please note that both of your tour guide and lunch are not included on today's tour). Tell your tour guide where you decide to eat, as after your meal, he is to pick you up and then provide you with a guided tour of the village.
Once done with the sites in Ait Benhaddou. You are to be taken via a 45-minute drive to the town of Ouarzazate. Upon arrival. You will have the time to explore the town, specifically Kasbah Tawrirt. We will be going on our road in front of the studio not included on today's tour). when the tours finish You should be back at your hotel in Marrakech around 7 pm.

Our private tour with Abdel to Aït Benhaddou, Atlas Studios, and Ouarzazate via the Atlas Mountains was exceptional and easily one of the highlights of our time in Morocco. From the moment we were picked up, everything felt effortless. The car was spotlessly clean, modern, and extremely comfortable, making the long and scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains genuinely enjoyable. Abdel drove smoothly and safely throughout the day, and we felt completely relaxed. What truly set Abdel apart was his deep insight into Moroccan life, culture, and history. We booked daily trip to Essaouira, 1st day we were waiting for the driver for 20 minutes, it may be communication issue, 2nd daily trip to Ouarzazate, we have great times.

Wonderful trip! Our driver Ayub picked us up from our hotel. He is an excellent driver especially on the windy roads and took time to show us sites on the way and answered all our questions. We were met by our guide Hassan in Ait Ben Haddou and he was excellent. He is very knowlegable and took us around the site. We had lunch at a hotel which over looked Ait Ben Haddou and the food there was delicious. We didn't have time to tour Studio but were able to see the Kasbah. Would highly recomment this to anyone!

We had an amazing trip to Ouarzazate with Ayoub. He was an amazing guide and very well spoken. He made sure out trip was comfortable and we made frequent stops to enjoy the view of the winding roads of the mountain. Ayoub also made sure that important landmarks were also covered during the trip and he explained the rich culture and heritage of Marrakech.
