Itinerary
We start from Via Tunisi in the Prati district, just minutes from the Vatican Museums. Here you immediately feel Rome’s double identity: the “modern” late-19th-century city and, nearby, the spiritual and artistic heart of the Vatican. The Vatican Museums began in 1506, after the discovery of the famous Laocoön sculpture group, when Pope Julius II launched a collection that kept growing for centuries. Today the route leads to the Sistine Chapel, painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512.
Castel Sant’Angelo was built as the mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian, around AD 123–139: a monumental tomb overlooking the Tiber. Over time it became a strategic fortress, a prison, and a refuge. Its connection to the Vatican is strong thanks to the Passetto di Borgo, a fortified corridor that allowed popes to reach the castle in times of danger. The name “Sant’Angelo” recalls a tradition from 590, when Pope Gregory the Great is said to have seen the Archangel Michael sheathing his sword, signaling the end of a plague.

Buggy never showed up - messaged me 45 minutes after the meet time to say there was a technical issue and would not be arriving. They offered me a full refund and a tour the next day.. I accepted, shock, they never got back to me about a new time the following day. Absolutely shocking. Avoid at all cost.
Our first time using e-bikes was a pleasant experience. The staff made sure we had the correct size bikes and that we understood how they worked. Our four hour adventure took us through city streets and into the countryside to a working farm where we had a delicious lunch. Our guide, Dimitri, was friendly, chatted on a range of topics from Italian history to his favorite gelato shop. Most important, he kept an eye out for our safety and made sure we all stayed together. Highly recommend.
We did an e-bike tour up into the olive and wine country with Dimitri. There were only four in the group plus the guide. We started in Florence down by the river and quickly headed out of town.we stopped at a small farm that rescues animals and host various agroturism activities. Had a lovely lunch and wine. Good trip and Dimitri was great!
The E bike tour was a very good way to see the city, the views were stunning. Dimitri, our tour guide was fantastic, couldn’t ask for a better person to show us the best spots. Would definitely recommend this experience.
Fantastic sights, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide Dimitri led the way, making it a fun as well as beautiful tour. The e-bike was easy to use making the trip through the rolling hills a breeze. Would definitely recommend!
The trip we had was quite a different experience from the other reviews. The location of the starting point isn't easy to find - not even a local hotel could point me in the correct location. They had 10 in our group - too large to manage in a busy city or along motorways. It was quite challenging to stay together. We had very few stops to regroup or to enjoy a scenic overview. After quite a while we made it to a farm - quaint w/ decent food BUT lunch was NOT included in the price. For reference we had taken another tour earlier in the year in Umbria with a much better guide, multiple stops, better food, and more information. Our guide blew us through many areas without much information. Much of the trip we spent on busy numbered roadways with narrow areas and trucks passing us in both directions. At the end he was trying to get us some gelato but it was a disorganized mess in the city, parking bikes on a sidewalk that resulted in our being reprimanded by a shop owner. We crossed busy intersections unnecessarily and were just tired and ready to stop. The biggest thing to know is that you need to bring lots of water. They provide none and there were NO stops to allow us to get any until the farm lunch and again none until we finished. Overall, it was more a chore than a tour.

This tour was a highlight of our trip. The route was perfectly balanced and provided plenty of scenic views along the way. The ride avoided high traffic areas once away from the downtown and showed off some great bike trails. The length of the ride was just enough to work up an appetite for lunch. Tip: There is lots of yummy food to choose from but don’t over do it at lunch, keep it light. The ride back was mostly down hill which is welcome after lunch. Finally, hats off to our amazing tour guide Dimitri who ensured a safe ride and was just wonderful. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Ciao!
Loved the tour. We started off getting bikes and helmets fitted and then headed off in a group of five. We did this tour with Saif who was a great tour guide and explained different stops along the way. Lunch was at a farm restaurant with lots of animals and delicious food. The e bikes made this a very enjoyable day out. Some in our group had problems with the hills but our tour guide was very helpful and accommodating. Get very safe and our guide was very clear when to stick tightly to the right side of the road and gave easy prompts along the way to stop, turn etc. My mum (60s) and I found this very user friendly!
We did the e-bike tour with Dimitri. He was an awesome and knowledgeable guide. The tour itself was beautiful and a nice break from the city. Lunch at the farm was delicious!
Judy took my father and me on the biketour trough tuscany in the Chianti region. She was so very nice and told us very much about the surroundings. The lunch at the farm was wonderfull and highly recommended. On our way back Judy took us to her favorite icecreamshop. Wow. Best icecream we ever ate! Really, this family That organizes the tours is incredibly nice and we wouldn't have missed it for the world!
This was one of our favorite tours for our trip. You do have to be in decent shape and be able to ride a bike well. The bikes are electric assist, so you have to pedal to get the boost. The boost makes hills nearly effortless though. Incredible farm food. Judy (sp?) was a great guide, good translator and photographer. I would do this trip again if we go back.
Giudi was our guide through the Tuscan countryside. There were only 5 in our group so it felt small and intimate. The roads we traveled on were narrow, but she made sure we all stayed together. I think some experience with bicycling in busy areas made this trip very fun for my husband and I. It could be challenging for those unfamiliar with sharing the road. Overall it was so beautiful and we really enjoyed our ride.
My family had a nice afternoon riding to a farm in the countryside (5p slot). Guide was a little late. E-bikes are great and make the hills super easy. My boys are 11, 15, 19 and know how to ride bikes well. The farm was such a nice spot and I wish we would have had more time there but we had to get back before dark. Ate dinner at the farm (although not much, vegan option available)
We had a great time riding the electric bikes through Florence and the country side. Dimitri was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable with the area and was easy to communicate with as we only spoke English. Undoubtedly a great way to see more of the area in only a few hours. We cycled to a great farm for dinner and wine before heading back to central Florence. Power assisted bikes were easy to ride and would have no trouble throughout the hilly environment. Would recommend taking this cycle tour.
