The route also explores charming villages such as Graft and De Rijp, passes the UNESCO-listed Beemster polder and includes a visit to a 17th-century windmill that played a role in land reclamation. Visit the Hortus Bulborum, a spring garden Museum that houses an impressive collection of historic bulbous plants. Admire over 4,500 varieties of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, and more, with some varieties dating back to the 16th century. Optional: Enjoy a coffee/tea or hot chocolate with a piece of traditional Dutch apple pie while soaking in the garden’s beauty
Visit a small, authentic family-run cheese farm, where artisan Gouda cheese is still made by hand. Enjoy a tasting and learn about traditional Dutch cheesemaking
