Ephesus Ruins is the largest open-air museum in Turkey, reflecting the grandeur of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations at their peak. As you walk through this extraordinary archaeological site, you step back in time while discovering the Senate Building, the Ancient Hospital, the Temple of Domitian, the famous Nike Statue, Hercules Gate, the Trajan Fountain, the beautifully preserved Temple of Hadrian, the world-renowned Celsus Library, and the magnificent Grand Theatre of Ephesus—along with many other remarkable remains that bring history vividly to life.
The House of the Virgin Mary is one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites, believed to be the place where the Virgin Mary spent her final years and passed away. The shrine gained worldwide recognition after Pope Paul VI visited in 1967 and informally affirmed its authenticity. It was later visited by Pope John Paul II in 1979 and Pope Benedict XVI in 2006. During their visits, each offered special gifts to the sanctuary, many of which can still be seen today.
Artemis was the Greek goddess of the hunt, a virginal protector and the twin sister of Apollo, who eventually replaced the Titan Selene as the Goddess of the Moon. Her ancient temple, built around 650 BC in honor of the cult of Artemis, stood on a site that had long been sacred to the Anatolian Mother Goddess Cybele. The construction was funded by the wealthy King of Lydia, and the marshy ground was deliberately chosen to help cushion the structure against future earthquakes. Over the centuries, however, the temple was repeatedly damaged and destroyed by natural disasters, leading to several reconstructions and collapses throughout its history.
Terrace Houses were the houses of rich & upper class people in Ephesus City have been lived, famed with gorgeous mosaics, frescoes and wall paintings. One of the best preserved site in the Ephesus in which archeological works still continue. *OPTIONAL VISIT depending on request* Please be aware that the entry ticket of this place is not included in the cost of the tour. If you are interested in visiting this place, you are responsible with the entry ticket of it. You can pay it ON-SITE to the Museum.

Josh was an incredible tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. We were lucky to go to each location when there we no lines and accommodations were made if we wanted to stop at an extra spot. One thing to note: we were not expecting to go to a rug shop and leather warehouse. Even though we were told not feel pressure to buy, we felt incredibly pressured. Not to say that the rest of the tour wasn’t worth it, but it did come as a surprise and be prepared to give a firm no.
This was a wonderful personalized experience with Josh. He is knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. Being in a small/private tour was 100% worth it because we could ask questions and get to places with the purpose of skipping the line and the heat. Highly recommend!
This was a very informational tour. Our guide Josh provided great information at the various stops and provided nice insight into the culture: I also appreciated his timing to avoid the large tours and be able to see the sites with less crowds.
Mert is the BEST guide!! We were met right outside the cruise port arrivals and were taken on our tour immediately. Super friendly, very knowledgeable about the area and history of Turkey. Mert was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and fun throughout our 5.5 hour tour. He even bought us some Turkish tea! We were able to skip right to the front and take our time touring Ephesus since admission fee is included in this specific tour, also House of the Virgin Mary, and Temple of Artemis. This tour offers all of these experiences plus silk carpet + leather works tour which we would not have been able to experience without booking THIS TOUR!!
Mert is literally the best tour guide I have ever had!!! He is incredibly knowledgeable and amicable. My partner and I got fantastic VIP treatment the whole time and he was eager to teach us about his beautiful country. Definitely will be returning to Turkey and I would recommend this tour (and specially Mert) to others traveling to Kuşadası.
Our guide was amazing Fatma was very informative and took her time explaining everything. No rush and well planed. I recommend her for your next trip to Kusadasi!
Fatima was a great guide . Very informative and helpful in everything we wanted. Must book with Fatima if you want to a great experience.
Super fun experience, very flexible and hospitable.
Efesus is incredible, the ruins are breathtaking, definitely don’t skip the Library of Celsus, it was incredible. Our tour guide, Itu, was fantastic. We asked him to make the tour kid-friendly and he was great with the girls- kept them entertained and engaged the whole time. He also helped us tweak the itinerary to avoid long lines/waits (we skipped Virgin Mary’s house). Finding a good lunch spot was tough - we ended up eating at a carpet weaving center, total tourist trap. The carpet weaving demonstration was very cool but then they tried to sell us a rug and got very pushy, so beware.
Ephesus was a great with our guide Nilay. She was knowledgeable. We kove Ephesus very much. I highly recommend this tour.
