Itinerary
Begin your full-day private tour early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel. Once you settle inside your air-conditioned vehicle, you will begin to Central Greece via the National highway.
Here, you will see the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the most emblematic monument and an architectural masterpiece of the classical era, the Doric Sanctuary of Apollo, and the Castalia Spring. This area truly establishes an extraordinary meeting with history for each visitor.
Next, it is time to tour the museum of Delphi, which houses treasures such as the famous "omphalos" or "navel of the world," parts of a frieze with scenes of the exploits of Hercules, and the remarkable Charioteer of Delphi, a masterpiece of Greek sculpture.
Following your archaeological tour, your driver will take you to the traditional village of Arachova, one of the most popular winter destinations in Greece. There, you will have the opportunity to have some free time to explore the region at your own pace or even have lunch (not included) in one of its picturesque, traditional taverns.
We start our way back to Athens. Travel time is about 2,5 hours. After a fascinating trip, your day trip to Delphi ends back at the original departure point in Athens in the evening.

The views and the terrain of Delphi were spectacular! Although a long trip to get there definitely worth it! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The museum at Delphi is a hidden treasure of antiquity clearly showing all the influences different cultures had on Greek art. The town before Delphi is completely quaint and reminds me of a skiing village in Northern Europe. We had asked to do some shopping but really wasn’t given the amount of time we would have liked. We were rushed to leave and eat some where on the highway back that was as picturesque. I would have rather spent more time in the village than in a tourist trap by the highway.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We hope to see you soon back!
