Beautiful Night Cruise on the Bosphorus

To cap our stay in Istanbul, we booked a private one-hour boat ride on the Bosphorus. The Almira 2 is a fine craft, well handled by friendly Captain Dennis and the one-man crew (never got the young man's name). Refreshments were provided. Not much of a sunset due to the cloud cover, but the bridges and river front buildings, brightly colored with light, were quite a show. We could not be sure when we were passing by Asia or Europe, for the diving line runs down rather center of the river. Rain threatened on the night of our booking, and a shift to a clearer night proved no problem. We appreciate the help of guy who booked the tour. He quickly changed our night from a rainy night to the following clear night. We had a bit of trouble finding the boat as the bow was facing the dock and the name on the back was not visible We highly recommend this tour a bit out of the center of Istanbul but we'll worth the drive.

Operator response

Thank you very much for your detailed and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your private Bosphorus cruise and that Captain Dennis and the crew made your experience pleasant and comfortable. It’s great to know that the illuminated views of the bridges and waterfront created a memorable atmosphere, even without the sunset. We also truly appreciate your kind words regarding the flexibility of rescheduling your tour due to weather conditions — we always do our best to ensure our guests have the best possible experience. At the same time, thank you for pointing out the difficulty in locating the boat. Your feedback is very helpful, and we will work on improving the meeting and identification details to make the process smoother for future guests. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another memorable experience in Istanbul. Warm regards, Plan Tours – Gray Line Turkey
