Built on the sea, the translation of the verse of the quran which proclaims the throne of god was built on the water. The mosque is a truly marvelous piece of architecture. A huge monument, it can accommodate 25,000 worshipers inside and another 80,000 outside. The founder, King Hassan ll, wished that the city be endowed with a large and beautiful building of which it can be proud Until the end of time. The most exquisite examples of Moroccan mosque craftsmanship are the zellij coverings, some models over 10 meters high. The mosque is one of the largest in the world.
Well here you will spend most of the time, plenty of traditional shops around. The decor is so captivating that you don't feel the time passing. The village built with all the conveniences that local Moroccans would need, it was above all intended to welcome new inhabitants coming from different regions of the kingdom. It has all the necessary facilities that the inhabitants will need, namely mosques, a community oven, houses and of course the majestic palace. The subtle blend between French architecture and Moorish style is truly impressive. However, due to these characteristics, the village ended up attracting wealthy businessmen, which explains the number of shops owned by wealthy Fez residents.
The first market at the time of the protectorate, a modern place intended to sell European groceries namely pork, vegetables, fruits, fish and liquors. After independence, the site remains an important place for locals to source locally cut fresh fish and buy Moroccan spices. Some are still used to going there to buy horse meat as well. A place full of such intriguing sights with some hidden antique pieces.

In Place Mohammed V, you discover other striking architectural monuments, including beautiful Moorish buildings; Emerging in the early 1900s, this unique architectural style blended traditional Moroccan elements with European influences, including French art deco.
The invigorating Atlantic breeze is what attracts the coastal dwellers. Whether it's for jogging, a trendy restaurant or entertainment. The Corniche remains the only escape from the crowds and the pollution of the city. You can have a drink there and take a look at the portrait of the royal family to get an idea of the monarchy in Morocco. In addition, we will be able to see the first lighthouse of the city which stands like a hero against the winds and waves of the Atlantic.
It was nothing to expect. An amazing cathedral with modern architecture with colored glass walls around the church. There is a cave which had a statue of mary with flowers and candles.

Worst tour in my life. No English speaking guide. Did not take us in the Hassan II Mosque. Left us for an hour to pray and dropped us off several hours early with no explanation. This local provider or his company should not be used by Viator.
Our driver took such great care of us. Made sure we seen and visited places we wanted. Went out of his way to find a wrap so my sister could enter the masque...she wore shorts....a no no!
We are always at your disposal to offer you the best
Adouane was a great guide. We wanted to be flexible on this visit and just see the main sights briefly whilst visiting on a cruise. We weren’t looking for detailed descriptions of dates, events and historical facts just photo opportunities and great local knowledge. If this is what others are looking for then you would not be disappointed.
Thank you for your trust in our company
Mosque was beautiful and the grounds massive Redon was very accommodating and was always available and waited for us nearby if we wanted to go inside shops. He took us on drive of beautiful big homes. The highlight was Ricks Cafe where we stayed for an hour. Piano music and all. Spectacular
