This was a good way to see some of the lesser known areas of Athens. Our guide was knowledgeable and pointed out. Many interesting places.
Great guide. Good blend of historical information with current culture. Learn how residents live and where they go. Great way to see things tour groups won't take you to.
Maxim was great. So charming and polite. He shared his Greek heritage and pride in his city. It was a wonderful way to start our experience in Athens, with a great overview and recommendations for lunch and dinner and desserts. It was like seeing a cousin you haven't seen in year's or an old friend. It was so comfortable and not rushed.
Our guide was excellent in terms of first asking what we wanted to focus on and then providing an outstanding overview/walk of quaint Athens neighborhoods we wouldn’t normally see.
Eleni was great and very accommodating. I had trouble with transportation from airport/downtown/hostel, and since she could postpone our tour, she kindly suggested to meet up a little bit later than what I scheduled ( I didn't ask: she offered:) She took me to places where locals go and regular tours don't cover. It was nice to see parts of the city not full of tourists. She also pointed out good places to get food and drinks, and what to ask for: sweet bougatsa for breakfast, spinach/cheese for lunch or dinner. She also noticed I love graffiti, then she made sure to walk by places with pretty cool art. I more than recommend her and her tour! I had a delightful evening walking with her.
Thank you, Sotiria - my very special adventurous bike guide. It was a pleasure to do the bike ride with you exploring all important highlights of Athens. You made my day:-) Best regards. Joern from Norway
My wife and I spent a half day with Nikolas yesterday and enjoyed every minute of it. Niko (we quickly became friends!) gave us a real insight into places we would not have been able to see any other way in such a short time, from magnificent views of the City, to the Port of Piraeus, to interesting neighborhoods. His knowledge of history was especially impressive. We did find ourselves having to ask about buildings we were passing from time to time (as a former guide myself, used to point out any and every building of possible interest) but that shortfall did not spoil the excellent few hours we had with Niko. Hugs all around when we left.
This is our second Athens tour with Yorgos. He is no longer just a tour guide, he is now a friend. He gave us an amazing unscripted tour of 'hidden' places in Athens, including Philopappos Hill, Anafiotika - with its unique alleys in Plaka and a nice visit to several Byzantine churches. A very productive and educational 4-hour tour ! I should also add that Yorgos is a pretty good photographer, capturing the right moments and angles of the various sites we visited. We highly recommend him !
Manos as a guide tells a lot of very interesting storries during the walk along and through historical areas of Athens. He shows you places you had never found by your own. The walk with teenagers can so become a happy time.
Fotis' personalized attention made my extended layover in Athens a great experience. His flexible approach and deep knowledge provided for a very positive time. Fotis obviously knows the city very well and also is very personable.I highly recommend Fotis.
