Private Citadel - Old Cairo and Kan al Khalili Guided Tour

It was excellent. Mohamed , our guide , was completely informed about everything. He was also very pleasant , helpful and always in a great mood . The organization was also excellent. Mohamed had a great cooperation with our driver Hassan who is an excellent driver in the difficult trafic of Cairo. Note that we had a 3-day programm with these two (pyramids-museum, Cairo and the old market, Fayun oasis)

I had the pleasure of visiting the Citadel and Old Cairo with guide Kamal Elsayed, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. Kamal is a warm and welcoming person who shares his deep knowledge of Egyptian history in an engaging and accessible way. The tour had a perfect balance between information and free time, making it both informative and relaxed. I can highly recommend this tour with Kamal as your guide if you want to explore Cairo in a meaningful and pleasant way.

Our tour of Old Cairo with Dr. Zein was absolutely incredible. His expertise and engaging storytelling made the history come alive. We explored hidden gems and lesser-known spots we would have never found on our own, making the day feel like a true adventure. Dr. Zein shared so many fascinating and quirky historical facts, keeping us captivated throughout. His friendly and approachable nature made it easy to ask questions, and his love for the city’s heritage was infectious. Cairo is very beautiful with the mosque and the churches. My tour guide Mo was very friendly and informative. He took a lot of photos for me and helped me through the old market. I highly recommend the tour. The driver did a good job as well.

I am rewriting my review. Hesham was a great guide and was extremely knowledgeable. For the guided portion of the tour I very much recommend him. That being said, he took me to a jewelry shop where he assured me the prices for the jewelry was good. Needless to say they were not. I’ve since learned the ring I purchased was worth a fraction of what I paid. Certainly, I’ve traveled enough that I should have expected this. My failure was transferring the expertise he clearly showed in guiding to trusting him that the shop was good and the prices were good. My fault for trusting. In summary, amazing as a guide, but do not assume he is looking out for you on any purchases.

Very nice tour with guide Ezzat and driver Sharif. Going solo as a woman, felt really safe with them. Ezzat gave a lot of nice information about all we have seen.

Hesham was an amazing tour guide. Was patient and accomplished all our requests. We booked at a the last minute and was happy we did. We seen more in the four hours with Hesham than we would have seen in a week. Recommend highly!

We had a great half day tour of Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo and Khan El Khalili on July 6. We were a couple with an infant and our guide Kamal and driver Gamal were great. Kamal was by far the best guide we had in our 1 week trip to Egypt. He was very knowledgeable and provided great insights into the architecture and history of Cairo. I would 100% recommend him. He listened to our requests and adjusted the tour according to what we wanted and skipped the various side tours (papyrus, perfume, cotton etc). He also took us to the shops that we wanted and helped us with buying items as well as took photos of us which many guides dont do. The Manager Hashem also called in to welcome us as soon as the tour started. Overall 10/10. I would choose these guys without thinking next time. Thank you!
