We did not learn about culinary traditions, we did not visit the Sacred Ceur Basilica and the cheese, salami and wine we stopped to eat came from a run down smelly bar. The tour is 1 hour walking and then 1 hour in the smelly bar. I thought we would walk for 2 hours stopping to try food in different places but that did not happen. Not at all what we expected. The tour guide James was very nice but the experience was not what was described. I recommend that the tour guide find a different place to take the groups to and that he sticks to the agenda in the description. I also recommend that the tour guides spend more time walking and stopping at a variety of places than 1 hour walking and 1 hour at a bad bar with bad food. It was still something to do and we stayed and walked around ourselves to make the trip there worth it. We had other wonderful experiences with Viator but this is not one of them.
Jamie took us on a tour through the less tourist-y regions of Montmartre. The small group was lovely. The tour guide was very well informed and was great to talk to.
Top of the Montmartre was pretty easy to get to; need to be able to walk comfortably on cobblestones but I’m a senior & had no issues. Such beauty! The views were phenomenal. This particular tour featured several stops for food and drinks special to this area. We had a small group, only 5 of us with the tour guide (who was wonderful! Julian, ask for him) and we got along very well, had lots in common. This is definitely a must see.
