The palace tour includes the official apartments of the King and Queen, the Royal Chapel and the Hall of Mirrors, an ornate gallery featuring 357 mirrors, floor-to-ceiling windows and crystal chandeliers. There are crowds of people. The personal headset was great. The golf cart through the Gardens was not only fun, but allowed us to see many locations we would have missed if we were walking. The most important thing was our amazing driver. He was knowledgeable, professional, and went beyond expectations to make it a fantastic experience. He was the best and made the whole experience possible.
The driver was patient and polite but quiet. This is more of a self guide- he provided transportation and the ticket as well as a free downloadable audio guide and we toured on our own. Theres no WIFI at Versailles so download it ahead of time. Unfortunately there was a bomb threat the day of our visit so we had to evacuate. We toured for just over 2 hours but not the fault of our guide.
Thank you for your comment and again sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Anas was a great guide. He got us right up to where we needed to get in and it was easy to find him when we were finished. Could have used another hour because we spent so much time in the castle that we could only see a little of the gardens
Thank you for your valuable comment. I'm glad you have enjoyed this experience
As veteran travelers, this tour provided just what we were looking for: hotel pick up and transfer to Versailles with minimum of hassle getting into the palace. The car was immaculately clean, driver was friendly and provided water, he directed us to the correct line out of many at the entrance and got us safely to the hotel. We were able to give him the time we wanted to return and was even able to pick us up early when a cold wind came up and made the gardens not as enjoyable. I would use his service again.
I'm glad you have enjoyed this experience
I purchased both my eTickets and vouchers for the audio guides online weeks prior to my visit on 25th January. We have no trouble getting into the museum using our eTickets. However, despite displaying my paid vouchers for TWO audio guide devices, the staff onsite insisted I pay an additional 4 euros. He only spoke French to me, and I wasn't sure if he didn't understand what I meant or if he doesn't know English at all. Regardless, we were stuck there for a couple of minutes trying to explain the situation to no avail. I eventually just gave up and paid that extra 4 euros and moved on.
I think you have the wrong provider. You have not booked with us. We haven't had a reservation for Jan 25
The driver spoke english with us ,that was very helful ,and he was friendly, they confirm with me the pick up i think 4 days before, comunication very good. i tought i bought the tour with guide inside, but i didn't, but was not hard to be by ourself, the driver went with us to the place where was suppose to get inn and explain very well everything was easy then to walk around and see everything, them he was there at the end to bring us back to the hotel, very good xperience.
Thank you for your valuable comment. I'm glad you have enjoyed this day
Versailles is a beautiful mansion with many paintings and furniture to admire. We visited in mid May. It was very warm inside, as windows were not open. The crowd was big as it was the end of school holiday. Gardens weren’t blooming yet. Food at the restaurant was very expensive, but tasty. Enjoyed having a private driver. He let us stay as long as we wanted. This event includes lots of walking with few benches to rest on. I wouldn’t recommend the self-guided headsets.
