Sonia is the best!

Ostia Antica is an amazing place! I highly recommend taking this half day tour. Sonia was a fun, knowledgeable guide. She had other recommendations for things to do in Rome and the surrounding area and was a wealth of information.

Ostia Antica

Wonderful day trip outside of Rome. Amazing archeological site, as good as Pompeii. Flat walking, nice amenities like bathrooms and restaurant. Easy train ride from Rome.

Ostia Antica, ancient port of Rome

Ostia Antica gives a fascinating look at daily life in a Roman city. Very fine museum as well. Our guide, Rebecca, was very knowledgeable, clear in her explanations, and enthusiastic. Time well spent.

Great trip to Ostia Antica

Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Great Insights to what was being seen. Ostia Antica is an unsung visit when in Rome. Every bit as impressive as Pompeii but without the tourist mobs and just a quick ride away.

Beautiful day full of history

Ostia Antica was on our bucket list for our second trip to Rome, and we are very happy with our choice of agency. Everything went smoothly, from the train ride from Rome to the tour itself and the journey back. Our guide was full of information, yet gave us time to take it all in and left us plenty of time to take photos.

The tour was fantastic,...

The tour was fantastic, we couldn’t have had a better tour guide in Sonia. The ruins were well preserved and there was no one around so we had lots of time to look around and ask questions.

Ostia Antica - the Highlight of our Roman Holiday

Our tour to Ostia Antica was nothing short of incredible! Sonia was the most fantastic guide! She was personable, funny, and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about Ostia Antica and Roman history in general. We enjoyed our time with her immensely! Compared to Herculaneum, which is fascinating in its own right, Ostia Antica is so enjoyable - zero crowds and much more expansive. We took our 4 kids and 1-year-old grandson. Sonia was absolutely great about touring with a toddler - she was very flexible. The family voted on their favorite activity during our week in Rome, and this tour was the hands-down winner over the Appian Way, Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon, Palatine Hill, St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and Orvieto. And so close to Rome! Need I say more?
