Our tour with Elisabeth was full of very interesting history about Notre Dame’s exterior. Without Elisabeth knowledge we would have missed so much. One disappointment was not getting to the crypts which I had booked. Instead we went to Sainte Chappell. It was very beautiful and interesting though. We were a group of 5 and 3 did not book the crypts.
This is informative about the exterior and history of the church. Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable.

It was a nasty, rainy day in December. The temperature said it was 40°, but it felt more like 20° when we were standing on the bridge over the Seine with the wind whipping against us. Yet, we had a delightful time. June is a treasure. So knowledgeable and upbeat. Warning, she will ask you questions about Notre Dame and French history. When we got them right she told my brother or I that we were “good boys.” Of course this made us to compete, naturally I got the most “good boys.” If she does not bring it up, ask her about the architecture on the Housman building surrounding Notre Dame. I was aware of Houseman, but not some of the fascinating details that she provided. All in all, a lovely experience.
