07:30 Meeting Opera Garnier steps or Pick up if option booked and departure to Normandy. It takes about 2 hours (190 km) to reach our first stop at Calvados distillery.
09:30 - 10:20 Arrival at a local Calvados producer Christian Drouin. You will learn how Calvados has being made for centuries and have afterwords the Calvados tasting with explanations by the House representative. 10:20 Departure to Honfleur. It is just 20 minutes drive (15 km).
10:20 - 13:00 Honfleur town with its famous port. 10:20 - 11:20 Honfleur Walking tour. Honfleur is the main defensive port of Normandy of the XV century, transformed into a charming resort town with a picturesque Bay, much-loved by the artists of the XIX century. Honfleur was first mentioned in 1027, when it belonged to the Norman Duke Richard III. The owners of the city changed several times during The Hundred Years ' War. In the XV century, there were French pirates - corsairs who ravaged the English coast. A little later, in the XVII—XVIII centuries, the city became significantly rich in trade with the American colonies. After the port was closed, the city's economy declined and Honfleur became a suburb of Le Havre. Today it is one of the most known tourist cities in Normandy. The walking city tour takes about 1 hour. Free time. 11:20 - 13:00 Free time in Honfleur and Lunch break. 13:00 Departure from Honfleur to Deauville. It takes 30 minutes (20 km).

16:00 - 18:30 Arrival at Rouen and Sightseeing Walking tour of Rouen starts. Rouen is the capital of the Duke of Normandy, the city of a hundred bell-towers, famous for its Gothic cathedrals. Here You will have the opportunity to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral of the XIII - XVI centuries, known throughout the world in the paintings of Monet, the area of the Vieux Marché, the place of execution of Joan d'Arc and the Church of Joan d'Arc, the Palace of justice of the XVI century, to see the old medieval clock on the pedestrian street of Gros-Horloge. This tour was altered to Rouen, Étretat, and Honfleur, Amin did a nice job explaining the history and locations behind each visited town. Betrain was a friendly and good driver. Amin seemed a bit new to the tourism business. It appeared he was rechecking schedules in between town visits. Then again he probably needed to since there was a couple who arrived a little more than an hour late. That took away time from everyone else. It caused us to miss some things they planned for us. Was a bit disappointed that the cider and calvados tasting was not included and it was mentioned in the description of the tour. Please ensure if something is not done communicate it to the customers. We do books certain tours for a reason. Fortunately Amin and Betrain worked to find things and locations to compensate for the missed activities. The trip to Rouen, Étretat, and Honfleur were beautiful. The nature was scenic yet peaceful.
Best tour and guide! The scenery, sites, and history is worth the drive from Paris. This was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We visited in May and it was pretty cold - pack a hoodie, jacket, or sweater.
