Our First to Mt. Fuji

This was our first time in Japan, and so far it has been an amazing trip. We embarked on a road trip with Mr. Masami to Mt. Fuji. On the drive to Fuji, we had a very nice conversation about Japan and its history, Mr. Masami was kind enough to answer every single one of our questions, his care about our wants and needs was unmatched. We were very lucky with the weather as we were told Mt.Fuji is only visible 94 days out of the year, we were able to see it the whole day. Though the first attraction we saw was a bit crowded Mr. Masami was able to show and explain everything. From wonderful ponds filled with fish, beautiful cherry blossoms, historic temples and old traditional villages to lakes and enjoying a traditional Japanese meal, the trip was really 10/10. I would really recommend anyone coming to visit to experience Mt. Fuji with such a kind and experienced guide as Mr. Masami, we are very grateful for such an amazing experience.

Operator response

We’re delighted that you enjoyed the Fuji Five Lakes tour. We’re also very pleased to hear that you had a pleasant conversation with our guide along the way. While the Fuji Five Lakes tour naturally focuses on the scenery of Mount Fuji, we’re glad that learning about the history, culture, and religion associated with Mt.Fuji from our guide made your tour even more enjoyable. Thank you very much. - Masami

Worthwhile Experience

Mura san was the consummate professional. He made every minute of the trip both fun and educational. His knowledge of the area extended beyond locations/viewing sites and thoroughly covered culture and history, too. The trip was smooth and he was seamlessly flexible, rendering expert and timely recommendations and assistance with transportation. Highly recommend if you want to take a day off from the stress of travel planning and trust an expert with your day.

Snowed Out - But Great Day Anyway

Trains cancelled, but Hide worked with us to craft a fun and informative tour of Tokyo. Great sense of humor and very resourceful!

Operator response

Thank you very much for your kind review! It was truly disappointing that our much-anticipated Mt. Fuji tour had to be canceled due to the unexpected heavy snow. However, despite the unusual snowy day in Tokyo, I was touched by your kindness and thoughtful attitude, turning it into a "unique experience" with laughter. If I was able to contribute even a little to your memories of Japan, that makes me very happy. I hope to guide you again on a beautiful, sunny day. Take care! Best regards, Hide

Snow won’t stop us!!

We didn’t actually go to Mt Fuji Five Lakes because we were snowed out and the trains weren’t running. Our guide, Hide, spontaneously planned a Tokyo city tour to replace our canceled itinerary. He was flexible, knowledgeable, and able to adapt our plan at the last minute.
