At Oishi Park, travelers can enjoy a serene and breathtaking view of Mount Fuji reflected over Lake Kawaguchi, framed by beautifully landscaped flower gardens that change with the seasons. Located along the lake’s northern shore, the park is famous for its vibrant lavender fields in summer and colorful kochia and autumn leaves in fall. With well-maintained walking paths, benches, and viewing spots, it's an ideal place for a relaxing stroll, picnicking, or capturing stunning photos of Fuji in all its glory. There's also a cozy café and local market nearby where visitors can taste regional treats and shop for souvenirs, making Oishi Park a peaceful and scenic highlight of any Fuji Five Lakes itinerary.
At Arakurayama Sengen Park, travelers are treated to one of Japan's most iconic and picturesque views—a stunning panoramic scene featuring the majestic Mount Fuji rising behind the vibrant Chureito Pagoda, especially breathtaking during cherry blossom season or autumn foliage. Visitors can climb approximately 400 steps to reach the observation area, where the contrast of the five-storied red pagoda, seasonal flowers, and snow-capped Fuji creates a postcard-perfect image. The park also offers a peaceful, scenic atmosphere for leisurely walks, photography, and cultural appreciation, making it a must-visit spot for nature lovers, photographers, and those seeking a tranquil escape with a uniquely Japanese backdrop.
At Oshino Hakkai, travelers will discover a charming traditional village famous for its eight crystal-clear spring ponds, fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji filtered through volcanic rock. These serene ponds are surrounded by thatched-roof houses, waterwheels, and wooden bridges, creating a picturesque setting that feels like stepping back in time. Visitors can enjoy walking paths that circle the ponds, taste fresh spring water, and observe colorful koi fish swimming in the pristine waters. The site also offers cultural experiences like trying on samurai or kimono costumes, browsing local food stalls, and exploring small museums and souvenir shops. With stunning views of Mount Fuji in the background, Oshino Hakkai offers a peaceful blend of natural beauty, culture, and tradition.
