We booked the luxury option to Merzouga. We stayed the first night at Luxury Riad Dades. This hotel was simply amazing. The room was fantastic and the diner was even better. We stayed the second night at Tafouyte Camp Merzouga. However, we were a little disappointed at this camp. There are nicer camps nearby, but everyone who had booked the luxury option with another tour operator was placed in this camp. There were no outdoor lights, no hot water, diner at a nearby camp, and a stray dog that attacked us. Later that evening, the dog was chained up. We spoke with other people who had also booked a luxury option with a different tour operator, but I think we got the most for our money with Mehdi, especially for the first night.
I booked a VIP room, and the first night's hotel was very good. But the second night's desert camp was quite basic; I found out from other guests that they booked the camp for a low price, which clearly wasn't enough for a VIP stay.
We booked VIP, the first night the hotel was clean and air-conditioned and had a private bathroom, the second night the tent was beautiful! There was an en suite bathroom, a bath, no air conditioning, no air conditioning for voltage problems in the depths of the desert, the accommodation staff were particularly warm for two nights and the meal was much better than expected, especially the night in the tent, the staff were so nice and the view was good, and breakfast was given to warm omelets and hand-grab cakes. On the way is a 15-seater air-conditioned minibus that will pass through several attractions, with a special roast painting of a movie and TV base is very memorable! The next day at seven o'clock in the afternoon ride a camel into the desert, take a picture and then enter the camp, the third day at six o'clock in the morning to watch the sunrise, out of the desert and drive all the way back to Marrakech. The person in charge is very warm, greets at the end of each day and is reassuring. We find this price very worthwhile and exceeds expectations!
It was an amazing family experience the camp in the desert was beautiful l hotel halfway in the valley was just as luxurious it's the second time I went through mehdi the last time I was alone in 2019 and it was great too and if I should tell you something it's go there with your eyes closed everything is on top from start to finish
Everything was top from start to finish we want to thank mehdi for his professional side you can go there with your eyes closed
It's been a great few days. Grateful to the driver, punctuality and service; also the sympathy and knowledge of the guides. Friendliness and service of the accommodations. Highly recommended, three days to enjoy.
Great stay rich in multi national encounters with spectacular sites and places. The atmosphere was top thanks to our driver Hussein smiling and attentive with each of us.I recommend this trip with the driver most likely
We are generally happy with the excursion and especially with the experience in the desert. The camp and the camel service are very good, as it allows you to enjoy both the sunset and the sunrise in the dunes. We stayed in the luxury camp and it was very good, both in terms of facilities and meals. The other visits were good, especially the one to the kasbah, where the guide we had He tried at all times to explain everything to all of us, even though we were from different countries, to each of us in his own language. We had another guide in the Todra Gorge who spoke almost no Spanish. The restaurants where we stopped to eat are generally a bit average, expensive for Morocco and with very fair quality, except for one open buffet that was good and varied. The return trip is a bit long and difficult, although it is normal because there is a lot of distance and it is done in a single day. The trip is well organized and is going according to plan. Worth.
Fabulous experience, the colors that can be seen in the desert are something unique. The times and stages were respected, well calculated and the hours of transport were not felt at all. We found a great group and an AMAZING guide (thanks Khalid). He made us spend hours of travel telling us anecdotes, stories and singing together with us. The only flaw: we had booked a tour in Italian but the available languages were French and English, but this did not stop us from enjoying the experience. It is indeed a tourist tour, but what counts is the spirit!! To do!
Everything went well, they picked us up at the hostel without problems, it is true that the minibus gets heavy as it takes so many hours. And the desert, which is the main course, falls a little short, I recommend taking an extra night in the desert. The kashbas tours were very good, the restaurants for lunch were "tourist" but not bad...
