Hidden gem drinking holes, standing sake (rice wine) bars, craft beer, high-end cocktails, and whisky! Famous the world over–Tokyo has an amazing nightlife culture. We will explore some of the most interesting spots, try local beverages and learn about the best rice wines then finish up our evening with cocktails that you will never forget. Please note: due to legal restrictions at some of our stops on this tour- all members of your group must be 20 years old or older. Join our expert guide on this evening tour through Shimbashi -the after-work drinking haven for rice wine, craft beer, and food tastings along the way. Head to a fun and friendly bar to try some casual and festive cocktails paired with tasty bar snacks and end the evening with cocktails and world-famous Japanese whisky at unique spots that serve some of the most creative drinks you will find anywhere.

We had a fantastic time with Shigeki visiting a number of bars and restaurants in the Shimbashi/Ginza area. We thoroughly enjoyed trying the different Sake, Whisky, Cocktails and Food.

A nice sampler of some of the tastes and flavours of Tokyo thru the lens of just a few of the unique city neighbourhoods. A small insight into the cultural nuances of each area with a tasting of sake , crafted cocktails and Japanese wine and local snacks and delicacies . Glenda our guide was lovely and a lot of fun!

We did a tour with Wesley who lives in Tokyo. He was the best guide on our 14 day trip to Japan. I highly recommend him for any part of Tokyo. We visited several quaint sites to get a real feel for where locals go. Didn't think I would like Sake but it actually is pretty good. Lots of varieties so a Sake for everyone. Wesley was great at recommending different drinks at each place we visited.
Excellent tour. Our host Jacob Gin (appropriately named) was very knowledgeable about both food, drink and the local area. Energetic and personable. He showed us the hidden parts of Tokyo we would never have found without him.

Just landed in Tokyo we met with the super friendly Sandra for sake, cocktail 🍸, whiskey and pairing tour. We then started in a so-called Antenna-Shop where products of a certain region of Japan are offered, mainly also for people from Tokyo who miss their home region. There we had a small sake tasting with matching aperitif accompaniment. In addition, we were immediately introduced to the courtesies and table manners of Japanese culture. Sandra also had matching little cards with good memorabilia. She had accompanied us the whole Japan trip 😊 Afterwards we went through the streets of the Ginza district and also a few small secret alleys further to the plum wine tasting. There was also a matching accompaniment in the form of umeboshi and a fanzy potato salad Cornet - also very delicious. Then we went to a small restaurant for Tempura delicacies and even had a glass of regional white wine that could quite compete with European wines. The end was then a visit to a mixlology bar, they actually had a specially suitable glass for each cocktail. We definitely had a super nice evening and a fantastic start for our Japan trip. My husband and I did a Kyoto and socket tasting tour with Russ. He was a great host and coordinator for the day making sure we had a great experience. It was fun to go explore the breweries in Kyoto Who is very knowledgeable about stocking making, and the Japanese culture
