Surprisingly, this building retains the original wooden brewery structure built approximately 200 years ago. In the courtyard, there is a well from which you can drink Fushimizu, the water used in sake brewing. Similar to Fushimi's sake, it is incredibly soft and delicious, so please give it a try. You'll surely be amazed by its smoothness. In the exhibition room, you can view traditional sake brewing tools designated as tangible folk cultural assets by the city of Kyoto. Gekkeikan Sake Brewery's special sake cup with a tasting of three Japanese sake samples included.

There is a boarding point for a pleasure boat called "Jikokubune". From the Edo period to the end of the Meiji period, this ship played an active role as a logistics hub connecting Fushimi and Osaka. At that time, it took seven hours by boat to transport people, sake, and rice from Fushimi to Osaka. The tour ends at the boat dock. The tour guide will assist you in purchasing a ticket if you would like to continue to the boat cruise.

Admission included20 min

Shop & Cafe "Fushimi Yumehyakushu." In fact, this building is repurposed from the former main store of Gekkeikan, built over 100 years ago. Inside the shop, you can find various Kyoto liquors and souvenirs, not limited to Gekkeikan. We offer a seated tasting set of three different sakes, including an appetizer. Please enjoy your time with us. For those who have participated in our tour only this summer, we are giving away sake ice cream here.

Admission included30 min

Kizakura is famous for its sake commercials featuring Kappa characters, but it is also the first company in Kyoto to produce local beer. Therefore, at Fushimizugura, in addition to the sake production process, you can also tour the beer factory. After the tour, you can sample sake and beer in the lovely courtyard. We'll present you with one glass of Kyoto Beer here, so please relax and unwind from your journey.

Fushimizu SakeKura koji opened in March 2016. This is a sake theme park where you can enjoy local Fushimi sake and dishes from all over Japan. With the support of 17 breweries belonging to the Fushimi Sake Brewers Association, this facility is a facility where you can enjoy about 100 kinds of Fushimi local sake.

I will take you to ABURACYO, located in the shopping district of Fushimi. Here, you can explore a selection of over 100 different types of sake, with a focus on ginjo and daiginjo sake from all 18 sake breweries in Fushimi. The collection includes not only regular selections but also seasonal limited editions. Moreover, at the in-store tasting counter, you can enjoy a glass or compare three different varieties in small cups. Just gazing at the bottles can provide a delightful experience.
