We had a wonderful 3 day tour with Ali. Having a tour guide makes the process so much easier; knowing the right times to enter each site and expediting or skipping the ticket lines. He also helped us navigate the public transit to reach some attractions which would be more difficult otherwise. And, he was able to take us to great local food places (cheaper and better food) and give us a number of recommendations for shops and other restaurants to try. It is well worth the money and we got so much more out of the experience.
Thank you so much for this absolutely wonderful 5-star review! 🌟 We're thrilled to hear you had such an excellent 3-day tour with Ali! 😊 It makes us so happy to know that Ali made your Istanbul experience smoother and richer. And it's fantastic that his recommendations for shops and other restaurants were helpful too! 🛍️🍽️ Your kind words, "It is well worth the money and we got so much more out of the experience," mean the world to us. Thanks to Ali for organising our 3 day tour, broken up over a week with ‘Ultimate Istanbul tours.’ Thanks VERY much to our guide Ozlem, who took us to a variety of different mosques, but also has a breathtaking encyclopaediac knowledge of the long history of so many mosques and how these all fit in with the past civilisations. The tour of the underground cisterns built during the Roman Empire - fascinating. She knows the backstreets of the city the culture and customs of Istanbul and Turkey with great insight, making our 3 days in Istanbul a venture and journey! So good, so kind and so passionate, in her imparting of her knowledge about Istanbul and all its ancient religious institutions, buildings, neighbourhoods, communities and food. Both Kim and I could not have asked for more. Loved our conversations with Ozme and the tour of Hagia Sophia was incredibly interesting as she brought it to life through the centuries explaining the importance it was, not only to her, but all the peoples of Turkey and the wider world community. I loved her passion and commitment she brought to her work, life, family, community and country. She is a great ambassador for Istanbul tourism and her country. Highly recommend Ultimate Istanbul. Thanks v much, Philip and Kim.
