Imperial Palace or Edo Castle Time Trip Learning Walking Tour





Description
Your guide will present you an illustrated map of the city of Edo in 1650s. With a government licensed guide, you will visit Sakurada gate, bridges before the main entrance of Imperial Palace, previous Edo castle now called Imperial Eastern Garden. 5.4km of walk during 2.5h. (The 2.5-hour timeframe is the minimum time required if you walk at a brisk pace. Please allow ample time for your participation.) With gates, huts, stone walls, moats and bridges, you can develop your imagination about what was the Edo castle. You will get some ideas about composing elements of the society as « Shogun », « Emperor » or « Samurai ruling class » . Also, you will know about people of another period as « Habitants of Edo city » or « Women of the Edo castle ». Let’s take a little journey through time on foot!
