This tour will provide you with a complete picture of the country's history and culture through the different sites from the mediavle era, as you will see different scenes of the Egyptian identity through its Coptic and Islamic old sites. You will visit Saladin Citadel, constructed in 1172 AD that houses the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali which was built in 1823 AD. Afterwards, tour Old Cairo, the site of a city that pre-dated Cairo with many historic churches, a Synagogue, and a Roman fort, end your day by exploring the exotic Souqs of Cairo (Khan El Khalili Bazaar).

You will proceed to the medieval part of Cairo to visit some of the oldest churches in the history of Christianity, including the hanging church that was dedicated to the holy Virgin Mary, and St. Sergius church, that houses the crept believed to be used by the Holy family hiding from the Romans. In the same area, you will also see the Jewish Synagogue.
Visit the Islamic icon of Egypt; Saladin Citadel, constructed in 1172 AD together with the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, built in 1823 AD.

I booked two day trips with them and was both times impressed with their client oriented service. On both days they picked me up at my hotel and were there before agreed time, which I value very highly. On both tours the guide, Sultan, was very considerate and flexible, adjusting the programme to my liking. You can discuss your preferences with him before the tour or as you go. He is very understanding and will tailor the trip as much as possible to meet your requests. He was very knowledgeable, with excellent English skills, easy to communicate with and he is a great photographer, which is very helpful for solo travelers who are not in to “selfies photography” 😊. Both my trips were in Cairo (the pyramids, the bazaar, Christian and Islamic historical areas, National museum) and Sultan made sure that we took different routes, so I got to see as much as possible of the city.
