Great performance and great players.
Very enjoyable evening at a reasonable cost. Organisation is faultless and the musicians talented. The church setting adds to atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Suggestive experience, beautiful evening
Greate athmosphere, worth the visit and nice selection of pieces.
I really enjoyed Vivaldi's 4 Seasons. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We had a great time. The best is magnificent, and the music is just as good. Thank you very much.
A beautiful concert in the breathtaking setting of San Silvestro al Quirinale. High praise to the ensemble. Great and highest level!
What a special experience this was. An evening to remember in Rome. Great performance in a beautiful basilica where music from the past is played. Literally experienced a journey through time. The musicians were great, a feast for the ears beautifully played. Never wanted to miss this!
A lovely evening concert featuring sacred music by J.S. Bach and contemporaries as well as Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Sort of a "greatest hits" from that time period, this is highly enjoyable and recognized music and was very appreciated by this audience. The space where this concert was held was stunning (Basilica San Nicola in Carcere) and is easily accessible by bus or metro from other parts of Rome. I think there was space for about 80-100 audience members - it felt very close and intimate but not crowded. The performance structure was beautifully simple - no need for announcements or introductions - the music simply started at the appointed time and the audience listened, enraptured. The soloist on the night we attended was incredible! Such great skill and energy. The only thing I might suggest is that a note be added to the program about when applause is appropriate - typically not in between movements of the same piece - but this concert was designed to attract a general pubic audience, so it makes sense that not everyone would know what to expect or read the cues from the performers. I will note too that the church pews and chairs were not designed with comfort in mind, so it might be a good idea to bring a sweater or jacket to sit on for extra cushioning.
A beautiful evening of music, in a charming and intimate setting (San Nicola in Carcere).
