Guided tour of the Royal Palace of Caserta with an art expert

Description
The Royal Palace of Caserta revolutionized the world architecture thanks to the genius of Luigi Vanvitelli, who designed it in the XVIII century. It was built by initiative of the king Charles of Bourbon as the new administrative center of the Kingdom of Naples, taking as a model the Palace of Versailles. The guided tour starts in the Old Apartment, inhabited by Ferdinand IV and Maria Carolina, with its numerous rooms painted by the court artists; then you see the New Apartment, with its impressive throne room where the king received delegations and ambassadors. On demand it’s possible to extend the tour visiting the Park, to admire the fountains of the Italian Garden and the romantic landscape of the English Garden.
