We had a great experience in an excellent, lovely and well-structured place to understand where civilization was born. With a guide, WALID, extraordinarily prepared and useful in understanding such a complex phenomenon as the Pharaonic era.
The configuration and richness of this incredible museum surprises every minute, first and foremost, an architectural success, sublime, exterior as well as interior, a learned layout and a presentation of the pieces like nowhere else!!
This was a very disappointing booking and was way below our expectation. For the price we paid we expected to be collected by the guide who would smooth our entrance in to the Museum, give us a personal guided tour, and then return with us and the driver. However, the driver turned up on his own with a car that was no more than a taxi. When we arrived at the Museum site we found that there was no personal guide, so therefore there was confusion at the ticket office with our entry documents, which took over an hour to sort out. Once we managed to gain entry, we found that we were part of a normal guided group organised by the Museum itself. The cost of which was far less than what we paid and therefore could have done this trip on our own, saving time, hassle and money.
The Museum building is huge and it's architecture is amazing. our tour guide Mary was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about Egypt History .
