On your second stop, venture to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Mexico and the Americas. This shrine holds great religious significance, as it is believed to be the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to the indigenous peasant Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin in 1531.
