We went as a family with two teenagers and I was a bit worried theyd get bored looking at old stuff but our guide changed everything. He was a professional speaking tour guide and he made the stories behind the artifacts come alive. My kids were actually asking questions and taking pictures. We visited both the Egyptian Museum and the GEM in one day and it felt like we traveled through time. The new museum is stunning with all the latest tech and displays. The admission fee covered everything no hidden costs which was a relief because sometimes tours surprise you. The length of visit was just right around 6 hours with a break for lunch. The atmosphere was exciting and educational. Crowd size at the GEM was still low compared to the old museum which was packed with tourists. The staff were friendly and helped us find our way. Best for families who want an easy and fun cultural day out
Recommended tour for those who don’t want to miss the most relevant pieces of the most important museums in Cairo. Zina, my tour guide, provided explanations in a clear way, helping me connect and understand all the pieces of information I had gathered from other tours. She was very kind, friendly, and patient, making sure I could see all the most relevant exhibits in the 3 museums. I even followed her lunch recommendation, and it was delicious! Mohamed Riafy was an excellent driver, professional and punctual. He speaks both English and Spanish and shared also with me information about Egypt during the ride. Highly recommend both for anyone visiting Cairo!
