We start by pickup from your hotel, then Our Egyptologist tour guide will take you to The Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx which are among the most iconic and impressive ancient structures in the world. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest of the three pyramids and is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Pyramid of Khafre is slightly smaller but has a more intact pyramidion, while the Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest but has more complex internal structures. The Sphinx, a giant limestone statue of a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, stands nearby and is believed to have been built during the reign of Khafre. You will marvel at the incredible feats of engineering and construction that allowed the ancient Egyptians to build such monumental structures, and learn about the culture and beliefs of this fascinating civilization. (Entering the pyramids from inside requires an extra ticket).
The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the most famous and impressive ancient structures in the world. It is located on the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt and is believed to have been constructed as a tomb for the pharaoh Khufu, who ruled during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom period of ancient Egypt. The pyramid was built using an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks, each weighing between 2 and 80 tons, and is estimated to have taken around 20 years to complete. It originally stood at a height of 146 meters (481 feet), although erosion and the removal of its outer casing stones have reduced its height to around 138 meters (453 feet) today. The pyramid's internal structure is just as impressive as its exterior. It contains three main chambers: the King's Chamber, the Queen's Chamber, and the Subterranean Chamber. The King's Chamber, located in the heart of the pyramid, contains an empty sarcophagus and is thought to have been the final resting place of Khufu's mummified body.
The Pyramid of Khafre is the second-largest of the three pyramids at the Giza Necropolis in Egypt, and it was built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom period, around 2500 BC. It is located just to the south-west of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three pyramids. The Pyramid of Khafre was originally 143.5 meters (471 feet) tall, with a base of approximately 215 meters (705 feet) on each side. Today, the pyramid stands at a height of 136 meters (446 feet). It was built using similar construction techniques as the Great Pyramid of Khufu, with large limestone blocks weighing up to 10 tons each. The interior of the pyramid consists of a descending corridor that leads to an antechamber, a burial chamber, and a subterranean chamber. Unlike the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre still retains some of its original casing stones at the top of the pyramid, which give it a distinctive appearance.
Pass by The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three main pyramids at Giza. It was built for Pharaoh Menkaure during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. It stands approximately 65 meters tall with a base measuring 102 meters on each side. The pyramid was originally covered in smooth Tura limestone, but much of it has been removed over time. Inside, there are three chambers designed to hold the Pharaoh's sarcophagus and funerary equipment. The pyramid was built with granite blocks at its base, which is unique. The complex includes smaller pyramids for Menkaure's queens, a mortuary temple, a causeway, and a valley temple. Visitors can explore the exterior of the pyramid and the complex as part of a guided tour of the Giza Plateau.
One of the most famous features of the Pyramid of Khafre is the Sphinx, a large limestone statue of a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. After lunch, head to the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum, a state-of-the-art facility housing thousands of artifacts from ancient Egypt. Explore its vast collections, including treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb and other significant archaeological finds. After the tour ends, you will drive back to your hotel or desired location.

Best day ever in Egypt!!! The owner of our hotel booked our tours with Sara so we did not know what to expect. What an amazing surprise when Sara shared her knowledge and expertise of the history and culture she is so passionate about. We enjoyed her expert sharing through two days of travel with Sara to the Grand Egyptian Museum, The Museum of Civilization and tours of The Pyramids of Giza and a camel ride. Sara so impressed us by facilitating a safe private car, efficiently guiding us to purchase tickets and guiding us into the museums. Sara is such a person of knowledge, joy and kindness. We learned so much from her and were able to experience so much of the museums. My highlight was the beautiful stories she shared about the people in ancient Egypt and the knowledge their cultures contained. I wish I could have recorded all her stories and explanations to take home with me. Her university degrees in history and Egyptology give her the knowledge but it is her passion that makes her the amazing tour guide that she is! Everywhere we went we were told that we had the very best guide in Cairo! And we agree. After two days with Sara she offered to set us up with a private tour guide for our next two days in Luxor. Ahmed represented the same knowledge and passion we had with Sara. He shared the same consistent expert knowledge and the joy of pride and passion in his tours. Sara is one of the very best tour guides we ever had. A combinatoin of fun, caring, competence, to a level of detail that is hard to find.
Only negative was driver arriving 90 minutes late with no communication of a delay. Apparently due to traffic. Online questions about when driver would arrive suggested driver would arrive in 30 min and when that did not happen, after a period of silence, would arrive in 5 min. Extremely frustrating and not a great way to start a trip. The guide was picked up later and was good.
We had an incredible couple of days with Eslam & our private driver Hamada, me and my partner are so thankful the hotel we stayed in recommended both of them. On the first day we visited the Pyramids of Giza, Great Sphinx and Saqqara pyramids and on the second day we visited the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque & Grand Egyptian Museum. Eslam was more like a friend showing us around than a tour guide which we really loved. His extensive knowledge of Egyptian history and his incredible ability to tell a story made our experience in Egypt absolutely wonderful. We learnt so much during our time with Eslam and in addition to this he took so many incredible photos for us which we truly appreciate. Would 100% recommend visiting Egypt to book with 9 Pyramids Tours!
It was a full-day tour of the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, where we were efficiently covered. We were able to adjust the time well enough to make it to the night flight time. The Japanese language guide (MATTO) I asked for was knowledgeable and gave me a deep understanding of Egypt's history and ruins, and I had a wonderful day. Camels were optional, but you can go to the amazing viewing point and I highly recommend them!
Great experience! Thanks to Eslam, an exceptional guide and a courteous and reliable person, we have returned to the times of pharaohs and queens of ancient Egypt! There was no museum or archaeological site in Cairo that did not excite us, also thanks to the expert explanations (never boring, indeed!) of Eslam. 9 Pyramid Lounge team arranged a great experience for us. The logistic arrangements were excelled and the tour guide (Radwa) was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were travelling with children so the team made extra efforts to keep the children engaged as well as making adjustments for the kids pace. All arrangements were done impeccably. From the moment we were picked up from the hotel till we were dropped back we did not have to worry about a thing.
