Description

Your adventure will start with pickup from your hotel in Agadir. Head to Sidi R'bat, 1 hour and 20 minutes south of Agadir, to discover unpopulated beaches and sandbanks. Stop at the fisherman's village on the wild beach of Sidi R'bat, where you will have a chance to see the fishermen's caves, hewn in the cliffs. Then, drive on a sandy track while looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean. You will then have a quick stop at the Oued Massa, a 120 km long coastal river by the Souss-Massa Nationalpark. Here, if you are lucky, you will spot migrating birds, mainly the Northern bald ibis. You will also catch a quick glimpse of the beautiful Dam Youssef bin Tachfine. After, walk around the old walled medina town and browse. Then drive towards the Atlas mountains to enjoy a traditional lunch (tajine, couscous, and seasonal fruits), with the possibility of vegetarian food as well, in a local Berber's house. After lunch, you can roam freely in the small Sahara dunes to take photos.

Desert Safari with lunch

We took part in a safari rally experience in Agadir, where we also had the chance to visit a Berber house, which was the highlight of the trip. The sand safari drive itself was a bit of a disappointment, as for safety reasons we weren’t able to drive the rally section in the Sahara Desert, and the ride ended up being quite short. All in all, though, it was a wonderful experience, and we were left with many great memories from the trip, thank you!

interesting program,...

interesting program, very beautiful landscapes, informative visit to a craft pottery workshop but too many kilometers traveled. Good meal, friendly guide.

The picture is deceiving

We were picked up from our hotel 30 minutes later than scheduled. The jeep fitted six passengers, the three of us ladies speaking English and 3 young men speaking French. That was fine, but the driver spoke limited English and as little French. Therefore we had little commentary from the driver, except where we were heading to next. Most of the 'safari' was on normal thoroughfares getting us from one point to another. The coastal views were amazing - a great example of the Wild Atlantic. The lunch was superb - a wonderful Moroccan meal. The actual dune safari bit, as in the picture, was for about 10 minutes. This happened before the lunch too. We had several stops - at a 'camel camp' (with option to have a camel ride); at cliffs overlooking the Atlantic coast; at an ancient dwelling; and for lunch - before returning back to our hotel.

Sahara rally with no actual rally

A lot of time spent in the vehicle driving to the destination in very cramped conditions. The fisherman's village was just a drive by. Then to top off the experience there was NO Sahara Rally which is supposed to be the highlight of the day. Very disappointed. We were driven to the mini desert and only thing there was a camel ride at additional cost and no actual rally over the dunes.

We loved this trip!!

Our guide was Al Mehdi, we were travelling as a group of women. He was very respectful and ensured we were comfortable every step of the way. We explored Agadir's beauty from a secluded Desert to a secluded beach, A beautiful Dam and a delicious dinner in a traditional Berber house. It was an amazing experience! Cannot Thank Mehdi enough, for the entirety of the Journey. Would definitely recommend.

Can see from the pictures...

Can see from the pictures a 4x4 on lovely sand dunes, never got near to drive over a dune, basically we drove down a few miles of bumpy hard packed track and saw the sea. Cannot fault the driver who was charming and informative, just not what we thought we paid for.

Small dunes but great tour!

Fantastic tour guide who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the areas we visited. Actual vehicle used was not the most comfortable for six adults travelling in it. Major disappointed that the actual dunes safari expected was unlike the photos seen no race between other safari 4x4’s and very small dunes actually climbed. Apart from that great tour!

Overall quite OK but several minor details very annoying

It started very annoyingly that the driver was 20 minutes late for the pickup at our hotel, without giving a head's up of this. Quite annoying as my wife and I travelled with a 3 year old and a 7 year old with not so good patience. And just generally irritating as the pick-up was quite early in the morning. When our driver finally came he showed up with a piece of s*it car almost 20 year old with no A/C and a broken speedometer. What a sad sight to see. Were we going to spend our full day in that car, together with 2 other people (7 in total)? Wow, talk about setting a bar low from the start. As a person from a Nordic country where (car) safety matters - speaking of kids - no childrens seats were provided even though we specified the kids age upon booking. And one of the seat belts were not working neither. Going on a bumpy desert ride without a working seat belt... well you can imagine how that felt. Other cultures of course - but on top of this, our driver spoke/fiddled around with his phone just so many times of the trip, he basically had his phone glued to his hand. He just didn't care at all. When asking him about the seatbelt missing he got offended too (!), as he was a "such a good driver", alledgely. His driving was really quite bad to be honest, in retrospect. His English was barely understandable on top of this. But he was generally nice anyhow, except for the part where he went all passive-agressive / defensive about the seat belt part. I guess the tour was just about OK / average anyway, as we really got to see some cool sites and sceneries. But what a bloody bad car having to spend about 7 hours in (with plenty stops though).
