Our trip to Luxor, the site of ancient Thebes, was an awe-inspiring journey split by the timeless Nile River into two dramatically different experiences: the vibrant East Bank (the Land of the Living) and the serene West Bank (the Land of the Dead). To truly appreciate the scope of Ancient Egyptian civilization, visiting both is essential.
