Then Followed by a visit to the Most and Biggest mosques in Cairo which is El Sultan Hassan Mosque that also known as `Madrasa El Sultan Hassan` that was founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a massive Mamluk era mosque and madrassa located near The Citadel in Cairo. Its construction began 757 AH/1356 CE with work ending three years later “without even a single day of idleness”. At the time of construction the mosque was considered remarkable for its fantastic size and innovative architectural components. Commissioned by a sultan of a short and relatively unimpressive profile, al-Maqrizi noted that within the mosque were several “wonders of construction”. We booked very last min (the night before) and felt quite lucky to have Essam as our guide. He was FULL of knowledge, both of the local culture and history of Egypt. Honestly the 5 hours we were with him was not enough for the information he had to share. I bet he’s great for a full day tour. He made us feel comfortable, did not rush us, and ensured we saw everything on our list. We really appreciated that when we walked through Khan el-Khalili he did not pressure us to buy anything. All and all it was a great tour and we would definitely recommend him again.
We had a wonderful tour with the very skilled Mohammed. We went to the pyramids, the sphinx and the sorrounding area. We can highly recommend this tour and don’t forget to ask for Mohammed as your tourguide.
Nesma is a very great tour guide. She made me feel comfortable right away and offered to buy water and juice at the beginning of the tour. She is nice,patient and take great pictures !
