Love the Akhnaton Carpet School! They teach young kids from local families a trade to help them through life. What a great concept. We toured their awesome facility as part of our Gate1 tour. We saw the process from spinning the silk from the silk worms, to the actual looping of the carpets. It was inspiring watching the young children creating such unique masterpieces. We purchased a beautiful silk rug and love it! Not only do you get a gorgeous rug, but you are helping the community and future generations to be financially independent.
We had a most interesting fun filled day visiting Giza, Saqqara with Mo Sala and our driver Ahmed Mazzika. The driver was super safe in a busy city and Mo Sala was very knowledgable of all the sites and many bonus surprises.
