Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this tour for several reasons: -The guide did not speak Spanish well enough and was not easily understood -The explanations did not follow a clear thread and were confusing -We had to enter the coliseum without a guide, while other operators accompanied their groups. This was communicated days after booking. Therefore, I would say that any free tour is worth it more than buying the ticket on your own, just to enter...

Visiting the Colosseum is a dream, but doing it with Rachel was from another planet. What struck me the most was how each explanation lived; it did not release empty historical data, but narrated with a passion that made your hair stand on end. She seemed to be watching the gladiators herself as she spoke to us. His energy and the way he gestured made the ruins come to life. You can tell that he loves Rome and that he catches it; every anecdote about games and architecture told it with an intensity and a brightness in his eyes that kept us mesmerized all the way. If you want to feel the history of Rome on the skin and not just see it, you have to look for it. Thanks Raquel.
We had a visit to the Colosseum booked through Civitatis. We arrived on time and 20 minutes earlier we messaged that we were already in the entrance. We didn't get an answer, so we called on the phone. The manager simply said that “we should be at the meeting point”, without trying to contact the guide or offer any alternative, even though we were a few meters from the group. We were traveling with a small child, so we expected a minimum of assistance and flexibility. In addition, we are regular customers, have booked several paid tours with Civitatis and had always had good experiences. The most disappointing thing was the complete lack of assistance, which European legislation expressly requires. According to Directive 2015/2302 on travel and tourist services, the supplier must offer reasonable help to the customer in the event of an incident, which here did not happen. They made no effort to locate the guide, facilitate a reunion or give us a solution. This passivity, in this context, is close to what could legally be considered lack of diligence or even neglect in the provision of the service. Finally, they refused to refund the €150 or give us tickets by telematics, mail or WhatsApp to enter at least on our own, despite having given advance notice, being in the right place (the entrance of the Colosseum) and having tried to contact several times. Very poor management and very little sensitivity towards a family with a young child. A disappointment coming from a company we trusted To say that we have everything presented in European Consumer and legal hands.
Hola Domi, sentimos sinceramente la situación que describes. Durante las llamadas telefónicas te indicamos en varias ocasiones que el tour no comenzaba en el Coliseo, sino en Largo Corrado Ricci 41, que era necesario dirigirse allí para iniciar la visita. Sin embargo, media hora más tarde recibimos una foto en la que seguíais esperando en el Coliseo. A pesar de que el grupo ya había iniciado el recorrido, os enviamos por WhatsApp la ubicación exacta del acceso al Foro Romano para intentar que pudierais uniros, pero lamentablemente ya era demasiado tarde: la guía había entrado y no es posible acceder al recinto sin ella. Entendemos la molestia, especialmente viajando con un niño, y lamentamos de verdad la frustración que esta situación os haya generado. Por nuestra parte, tratamos de ofrecer toda la asistencia posible dentro de los límites que imponen los horarios y normas del sitio arqueológico. Muchas gracias, un saludo.

Not recommended. Nothing guaranteeing. We took the tour a month in advance and just two days before the tour date we were cancelled due to lack of ticket. Besides, we were not given any solutions or alternatives. As we were advised at such short notice we had no room to rearrange the trip.

Today we did a 21⁄2-hour tour with Patri and it was an extraordinary experience. His explanations were clear, precise and very complete, conveying the true history of Rome with detail and passion. In addition to being very friendly and polite, she managed to keep each story attentive from start to finish. Despite the fatigue, we didn't want the tour to end. An excellent guide that we recommend 100% to discover Rome in depth.
We did the tour with Sara and couldn't have a better guide. Thanks to it we were able to understand the ruins in a fun and easy way. I would repeat without hesitation. All very well organized and great attention.

We did the guided tour of the Palatine and the Colosseum. The guide does not engage and its explanations do not allow us to understand what the Roman forums consisted of and how they worked. It's not worth the visit. It is more advisable to pay only 18€ and access the coliseum and forum without a guided tour.

Our guide Sara, showed knowledge and passion for the history of the place. After the tour we recommend a small place to eat pizza al Taglio and try suli a local meal. The only downside was finding the meeting point, it should be a little more specific
