So we never got to do this tour because they cancelled on us less than 24 hours before our tour. We had a tight schedule and booked this over 6 months in advance. We did get our money back but since it was late notice all tours were already booked up
We truly regret the inconvenience caused by this cancellation. Unfortunately, the reservation was also cancelled on our side by the ticket provider, which forced us to cancel the tour as well. We completely understand your frustration, especially since you had booked the experience well in advance and had a tight travel schedule. As soon as we received the cancellation confirmation, we processed the full refund immediately. We sincerely apologize for the situation, which was unfortunately beyond our control.
The information given on Booking.com was very misleading. After being told it would take a short time to collect our entry tickets to the Colosseum itself ( after already paying for the guided tour) would only be a 20 minute wait turned out to be 1.5 hours. We had three children with us who were very patient and very excited to do the tour. Our tour guild told us he would wait for us all and pointed to where he would be. We eventually collected our tickets went to the designated meeting point and the tour guide had left without us and was no where to be seen. He clearly didn't do a headcount to make sure that he had everyone. We then proceeded to try and gain entry to the Roman forum which is where the tour was starting and was denied this because we had no proof of entry even after explaining that our tour guid had already gone in without us. We paid for a service of £130 that we did not receive. We left with no tour and three very upset children. Booking.com will not refund us.

As part of this tour, our guides assist guests with purchasing tickets on-site. Unfortunately, during busy periods, waiting times at the ticket office can exceed initial estimates due to high demand and factors beyond our control. Regarding the guide, they remained at the agreed meeting point for all participants and proceeded with the tour with the group that was present. Tickets were not yet included in the price. The woman who took the tour wanted to get the whole thing across quickly and was in a bad mood. Her English was so bad that she was barely understood. She didn’t go to the Roman Forum or Colosseum either, but told a few things in front of the Roman Forum with the help of a book and then everyone went off like that. No audio guide either. Many of the group left earlier. It's a waste of time!

You did not book the “Colosseum Guided Tour with Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Access,” but the “Wonders of the Colosseum Tour,” where entrance tickets are clearly not included in the price. Without valid tickets, the guide cannot enter the Colosseum or the Forum – in your case, she did the only thing possible. Our staff accompanied you to the ticket office so you could purchase tickets. However, the only available time slots were several hours later, which is beyond our control. All of our guides are officially licensed and must pass a very demanding English exam in order to receive their license. The claim that she could not speak proper English does not reflect reality. We kindly ask guests to ensure their reviews accurately refer to the product they actually booked.
Arena Tours never arrived to take people on the tour today. Somebody, named Ali claimed to have knowledge and had another man walk people to the top of the metro where he asked them to book with other companies. WTF
We are very sorry to read this review, as it does not reflect what actually happened. Our staff was present at the official meeting point for the Colosseum Guided Tour with Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Access at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, it appears that a third party — completely unrelated to our company — approached some guests and redirected them elsewhere. We would like to make it absolutely clear that the person mentioned in this review is not associated with our company in any way. Sadly, around the Colosseum area there are sometimes unauthorized individuals who attempt to redirect visitors to other operators. As soon as we were informed of the situation, we fully cooperated through Viator, and the guests received a refund. We regret that the guests were misled by someone outside of our organization, but stating that our team “never arrived” is incorrect. We were present at the official meeting point as confirmed by our staff records
Our guide was Pepe. Charming and very instructive and dynamic. 100% recommended and repeatable experience. A 10 in all respects.

What rip off! 50 Euros EACH on the promise we could get in within 15 minutes and that we would be given ta ONE HOUR GUIDED TOUR, then free time in the Collesuem and given tickets to the forum and hill, to be used with 24 hrs). Once we paid We were taken to wait for the guide, and told they would be there in 30 minutes. 40 minutes later no guide and we were told we would get a bonus tour prior to the Collesuem- so 2 hrs. We clamoured around the forum with the fastest speaking guide ( English not first language) in searing heat. Not given an opportunity to explore or take our time. Then back to the Collesuem to stand in a group queue whilst many other groups passed us by. Once we got inside, thoroughly exhausted, on the brink of heat stroke we had a HALF HOUR WORLWIND explation before the guide collected headsett and left - my advice, wait in the queue and get value for money, because this company is total RIP OFF!!
You weren't on our tour. Our tour is going directly inside the Colosseum (you only need to pass security check). And after the Colosseum you can visit Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.
The guide was late. She spoke limited English and seemed to have memorized a script. There was no interaction and she was unable to answer any questions or communicate with the group.
Guide did not show and I received notice of this 1 hour prior to departure. Offer made to reschedule for later in day but did not receive meeting location info until after your started so we could not get there in time. Waiting to hear about reimbursement!
Our guide was ALVISE TARANTELLO, he was amazing! We did walking tours with him each day from 27 Aug to 30 Aug of 2022. He arrived each day on time, and really did an amazing job. His knowledge of the geographic area, it's history, and art are amazing. As he told me, he does this as his full time job, and it certainly shows. I highly recommend his as a tour guide while in Rome. We visited the Vatican, other museums, and many beautiful fountains!
