It is evident therefore that as far back as 1928, the history of coffee growing has been an integral part of the Karunguru heritage. Karunguru boasts over 500 acre farm of a vast coffee plantation.

Welcome to Karunguru coffee farm. Karunguru farm is located one hour drive from Nairobi. The Coffee tour includes: A short welcome that includes the history of the farm and an introduction into the process of coffee Tour around our farm to various sites which are synonymous with the coffee process from the young seedling to water processing, drying and hurling of coffee. Welcome to a buffet style lunch with a drink that you can enjoy at the gardens in a picnic style, or formally in our old English style ballroom. All the vegetables we serve are grown on the farm. We then sit outside in our lush gardens for a coffee tasting experience where you taste different grades, types and varieties of coffee paired with various small pastries, i.e chilli coffee, bambooi nfused coffee, vanilla coffee among others. After this you can buy an array of items from our farm, coffee, jam and honey at very affordable prices! Nice overview of the coffee farming and production facilities. Guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great lunch provided, one of the best meals I had while in Kenya. Only downside was the cost of this tour booking through TripAdvisor -- another person on the tour booked directly with the farm (albeit without transportation) for far less than half of what I paid through TripAdvisor.

The driver was late. Then, we realised he didn’t know where we were going- he was bringing us to the tea farm when we booked for coffee farm. Need to do a U turn. We were very late to the coffee farm. We missed the 1st part of the visit! No excuse received and or refund received from the tour operator. Highly not recommend this tour operator.
Dear madam, Much apologies for the confusion that happened during your tour. You were picked for tea farm because we had similar booking for tea tour in the same hotel which was last minute booking and we had to plan quick pick up. After this confusion, your vehicle was changed to tea farm, and vice versa. Much Apologies and this was accidental and not intended. We have put enough measures to make sure this never happens again.
The tour company picked us up promptly and the driver was very nice. We felt extremely safe and in good company. Karunguru farm tour is worth every penny. The family that owns the farm is very kind, generous and full of stories. The tour was very informative and provided a wealth of knowledge from coffee, to everyday life in Kenya.
