While our driver arrived on time for both pickups we scheduled, this is not a company I would recommend booking with. I pre-paid two trips and texted the whatsapp number the night before each to confirm our details and found out they had our pickup time wrong (not sure how as they had our flight information/ tracking). After texting and calling multiple times on different days to get responses, the communication in general was not friendly and offered poor customer service. For the price charged, I would have rather called a ride share option instead.
1st time using the service and was as expected can be recommended to all friends to use Viator services

This was a HORRIBLE experience for me and my family. The driver left us stranded and we had to find amother taxi to the airport !!! I was very dissapointed and upset !!! FIRST, I am in a forien country that I have never been to before trying to make an early flight from the pier after leaving the cruise boat. All of the other private taxi met their patrons on the pier outside the boat when they returned. VIATOR , im assuming didnt pay the fee to pick us up at the pier ( which the receipt states they would pick us up), prior to coming back to the pier, I had Royal Carribean call and speak to someone to find out where they were going to meet us the last day before docking. They were told right down on the pier in the private area ( that is what they releyed to us). There are 2 piers, 1 which is a 15 minute walk with luggage ouside of side of the loading pier area. This is the area where the cruise ship provides a compliment shuttle bus to the pier. Its a 8 to 9 minute ride. Its also the area where if the taxis did not pay the pier tax, they could not go pass. The 2nd pier is located right by the ship when you get off the boat where busses and taxi ( both private of non private) stand with your name on a sign. VIATOR never told me which pier, they just said at the pier. Now when I scheduled the pick up time days before we left, I scheduled the pick up time at 6 am because according to the ships schedule, we would dock at 5:30am. I was told that the driver would wait 1 hour and 15 minutes. WHEN ROYAL carribean called the day before , I was told that VIator had knowledge of when the ships returned, so if the ships were late. VIATOR had knowlege of it. ( everyone can see if the ships are docked because they are so large) The ship let us off at 6:45am. (Late) My family and I were running to the private taxi area to check for our names and if not there, we had to get the shuttle to the 2nd pier. A 15-20 minute walk with luggage . There were no shuttle bus waiting. I notice the driver trying to reach out to me before 6:45 through WHatsApp but i could not make a call because i didnt have international phone coverage. I finally asked a nice gentleman from Rome and he told me to take my phone off airplane mode. I did, and i was able to make the phone call through Whatsapp. By that time, a shuttle bus had just arrived and I was finally on it headed to the other side by the pier at 7:07am. I was on the phone with a woman explaining that i am headed to the other pier and to tell the driver we will be there in about 6 minutes because the shuttle just picked up. I was told that the driver is leaving now because he waited 1 hour. ( I stated again, that i am 5 minutes away from the second pier). The lady said he is leaving because I didnt answer the phone call. I told this person everything about the ship getting in late, the 2 piers, and not being able to make a phone call because my phone was in airplane mode ( which the cruise ships requires you to do). Still this women had no empathy of any kind. She kelp saying he waited 1 hour and 15 minutes. And thats not Viators problem. I finally said it has been 1 hour and 15 minutes, its only 7:07am, if he got the at 6 am. She kelp repeating its not their fault. I felt Scammed !! I prepaid for this transportation ( over $200 dollars) to ensure i get to the airport on time for an early flight. Im not sure why the lady couldnt asked the driver to turn around when he just left minutes before , even if it meant me paying alittle more. This one situation made my entire special trip to Rome horrible.. I was shocked at how the lady on the phone seemed not to care, even though I had already prepaid ( and that payment included gratuity).. it was stressfull and horrible !!! VIATOR DIDNT RENDER THE SERVICE I PREPAID FOR, and still stated I dont get a refund or anything.. its all my fault. Im very upset and dissapointed in Viator. We finally had to pay another taxi ( at $100 Euro) per person. Shame on Viator to treat thier customers like this and to think they deal with people and cruise ships often is a unthough of. It made me feel like they just wanted my money at any cost. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON VIATOR FOR TREATING US LIKE THAT !!! I WANT A REFUND !!!!!
He’s a very good and safe driver! He was very caring, met us at the gate, and carried our luggage……very nice
The driver was an hour and a half late. Then we are told to meet out of the terminal are and waiting on the street for that long. Totally unacceptable. He was a lunatic driver and drove like a nut case on the highway into Rome.
Prices too high and no discounts, rude and incompetent staff. Not recommended, there are services at better prices

Our flight landed at 8:45 a.m., and by the time we got through passport control and customs, it was around 9:45 or 10:00 a.m. We got to the meeting point, but there was no driver in sight. I messaged them, and they scolded me, saying that our flight landed at 8:00 a.m. and that the driver had waited an hour. So they had the flight time wrong and THEY were EARLY. When I booked the ride, it asked for my flight # and that was all. When I told them they were mistaken, and that we had wasted no time getting to the meeting point, they stopped replying to my messages, so there we were. We'd been on a plane for 10 hours, and had booked a car so we didn't have to hassle with anything. We ended up standing in line for a taxi and missing our next appointment, costing us $850, not counting the $99 for the car that didn't show up, and $55 for a taxi. Never again.
Everything was perfect! Enrico, our driver, contacted us through WhatsApp and was waiting for us as we got off the cruise. It was a very comfortable ride and I would highly recommend this service. It takes the worry out of getting from the cruise port to the airport and is worth a little extra money.
Excellent service. Our driver called just as we exited the terminal and picked us up in less than 5 minutes. Excellent ride, beautiful car and our driver even walked us the last little bit he couldn’t drive right to our door!
