Executions Court : Your tour begins at the main entrance of Castel Sant’Angelo, on the bank of the river Tiber. Once you’ve entered the historic castle, you’ll head toward the large open space which was once home to the executions courtyard. Listen to the stories of famous heretics, such as Giordano Bruno, as you explore a site echoing the grueling days of the Roman Inquisition.
Room of the Cinerary Urns: Getting deeper into the castle, you’ll learn about its early history as a Mausoleum for the glorious Roman Emperors. Experience the genuine excitement of traveling back in time as you explore Hadrian’s cylindrical tomb. Climb up the original 2nd-century brick-walled ramp leading to the room where the cinerary urns of the Imperial family were once placed!

The provider of these tickets, Clio Muse Tours, sold us tickets for day that was a national holiday when all museums are free of charge for all people. We entered free with hundreds of other people and had to pay for the audio guide. Clio Muse Tours was of no help on that day and has never answered my inquiries.

No tickets were ever sent (only a voucher for the tickets, which was not accepted) was sent. We did get the audio tour, however, which was so absolutely awful that we turned it off. My booking, handled through Clio Tours, was cancelled as we stood in line. We had to wait in line for 25 minutes in the blazing sun (no covering whatsoever), to buy new tickets. Also, the fact that customers have to wade through email after email and webpage after webpage to find what they need is maddening. I never had this issue with TripAdvisor before, so it must be new or a Clio issue. NEVER AGAIN.

Downloading the audio guide was a bit cumbersome but then worked smoothly with the help of the organizer. Everything went through WhatsApp but was really good.

Tickets were easy, received them the day before. Entry was no issues and there was no line for entry. If you pay for any form of skip line, you are likely eating your money. Audio guide, as others have stated is useless. Mine was out of sync within 2 mins of entry. It asked me to pause and look for a landmark to continue and I never saw it even though I followed the path it requested, to the letter. I ended up giving up. The place itself has great views, but that's about it.

Easy booking but just as easy to book on official site. Castle was great worth seeing - go early in summer as it it hot!

The views were marvelous. Buy there were insufficient numbers of swords according to my husband. I however had a wonderful time. The rooms were beautiful and the signs were very descriptive.
I booked a timed entry to the castle. It was confusing where to go. I stood in line apparently with untimed guests. I am not completely clueless and can speak some Italian and can read more. I paid for an audioguide. Once my ticket was scanned, I was sent one direction. I soon realized I had been sent away from the audioguide pickup point. It was still a nice visit, and this is a great site to see. But I lost 8€ value and lost some knowledge about the place with sloppiness.
